Circles Part 1

Post by mentor »

Yet another video from Denmark… http://www.footbag.org/gallery/showset/worlds06

My first Worlds production this year is a circle contest compilation of the first rounds and the semi finals. I actually finished this video last Sunday, but I haven’t had time to upload it until now. I guess there will come several parts of the circle competition videos in the future, because I have loads of super cool footage…especially from the finals!

Big props to Ellis Piltz and Ianek Regimbald for inventing the circle contest. Thanks to Tom, Ianek, Sebastien and others that made it happen at Worlds06.

Even though it is a long video, I don’t think you will get bored. The music is perhaps not my favourite, but it really works well with the pictures. So please turn up the volume and enjoy some amazing players in action.

And I was working on such a video all day long...
I'll release mine anyways, I bet we will use a lot of similar stuff, whatever ..

edit: just watched it, pretty good, awesome quality and excellent runs. My video's concept is different so even tough I'll use some same stuff it wont be boring for the others.

thanks for the video!

Crap, Jorden and Felix are insane!

Very nice editing. And really good quality video. I loved the music and how you made the video match with it.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Great video, thanks a lot for your time and effort :) It was great to see all those epic runs once again. I still remember how amazing that Felix run ended with Spinning Osii looked. I really liked the editing, like when Ales combo ended exactly with the music, props.

i really liked ot see that vid, nice diting, good music too, i might search to find other songs from him/them. the first time i looked at it, i was like:" omg, its already done ??, I WANT MORE !!!" it looked like a 2 min vid ...

the level was way higher than in Montreal at the spring footjam ... and the guy ( which i dont know the name) with black shorts is pretty good, i think my mouth hit the floor when i saw torque to spinning clipper to mobius ... putting a spinning something after a torque !!!! i dont even keep my balance after a torque ... :-/ AWESOME

and of course, felix, jorden and ales are just incredible

for those who havent seen this vid yet, you MUST download it, even if your modem is 14.4K/s

Thanks for your nice comments on the video guys.

Hey Mathieu I understand your regrets but this happens all the time when you film at big tournaments, especially during the competitions.
And I was working on such a video all day long...

I have been working on this video for weeks…
I'll release mine anyways, I bet we will use a lot of similar stuff, whatever ..
That is a good idea and I really look forward to see it... :D

Yes Ben, me too…I can't imagine anyone that would not want see that!

Mads! Nobody can top the level of professionalism you bring to the amateur video making scene, all your videos are so spot on and ever enjoyable.

I can't wait to show this to people and say 'this is the event I MC-ed, look how cool it was!'

Thanks Mads!!!!!!!

Does repeating tricks over and over get you extra points in Circle comp? Or is that just the new hotness in footbag?

Awesome shred, awesome vid. I really liked your use of slow motion.

Wow, clearly another brilliant thing about the circle contest, is that footage of it is really enjoyable to watch and easy to take!

You turn your camera on and bam, the players are playing at the best of their ability (which is what you want to capture). And you can choose which players you want to film by when they will be participating in a circle :D.

Also, it's basicly a shred video, which is what we all secretly want to watch :).

The only problem I see, is that it loses the coreography that a routine has, I think one of the best things about footbag is that it can take the form of a dance :).
