I hit like 4 whirrs! so clean at navy pier.
hit blurry whirl > blurry whirl again today @ millenium park.
Pretty fun weekend. Not the event. Just chilling with everyone. Henry and Zach like a mo!

I worked some atom smasher today. They were going pretty well. My technique was improving, and then I decided to fuck the technique - I had it, I just needed to practice it. I was gonna go for 20 BS. On #4 and #8 my left knee went *POP*. So I called it a day. It didn't hurt for more than 2 seconds, and it didn't hurt very much at all. The same thing happened to me last year with fairy set (same knee). But I didn't wanna risk it.
Knee Hymen.

I woke up happy and well rested. Had my door closed, so I didn't freeze from the AC. Took a quick shower. Went outside to kick.
Stretched, enjoyed the quiet of almost noone being home. The weather was beautiful, and it was already late enough that the sun was in front of the house and I was in the shade in the backyard.
Wanted to work on atomic again. Tried a flip paradon for kicks. *POP* goes my knee. It doesn't hurt though. Shake out the knee a bit and proceed to atom smashers.

It's funny how 30 minutes of atom smasher practice can improve ur atomic set sooo much. Just a little practice in this game can put you at a new level. A little more and you could be world class. I really believe that.
I decided to practice barraging set for Janiwalker. Reile and I are racing towards it - stoically racing kinda, but yeah. I decided to try some barrages first to see it's form. It went pretty well - it made me think of trying triage for fun. Good ole Sunil. I tried it and I almost screamed I got so close. I tried again maybe once, maybe a few times, and I hit:
TRIAGE
That's right, a triple mirage. I was so excited I let out a primal scream of victory, threw the footbag over the garage into the alley and did some front flips (with hands).
I thought I'd try it again - and I hit it again. SO EASY. Just starting a barrage and following up with a terrage. It's the moves I don't expect to hit that give me the most joy.
After several more screams and flips. I hit:
JANI WALKER
Race is over! Flips ensued. All I had to do to get an awesome barraging set was to think of it first as a triage then plant after the 2nd dex. This made the foot of my dexing leg stay outward and not hit the bag as usual. The set was pretty easy/consistent until I got tired.
I hit 4-5 triages AND 4-5 Jani Walkers. I tried Fury a few times, but no dice. prolly could have if i kept on. Fury is my next dream move. Once I hit it I'll have to get a new one. Just like blur was my first. I also tried flip triage which I think I could do with a little practice.
"Did I just typo terrage?" I thought to myself. Nope, TRIAGE is what I'm talking about. The next level.
I was gonna do my first backflip ever after my final jani walker, but I got so tired I didn't hit it, and therefore didnt do a backflip.
Went inside. showered. ate. went to restaurant. milkshake. came home.
Called Reile... "The race is over, homie."

edit: i forgot to mention I saw a hummingbird for the first time in my life. It was in my backyard. Munching on my neighbor's plants. I don't know if hummingbirds live in chicago, but I'd never seen one b4. The thing was so small. Wings flapped so fast like a bee. but it's body was perfectly still in the air. It was soooo cool. Then it flew off. It was amazing. I stood there and it soaked into my permanent memory where I house all cool memories.

Reile and I kicked today. Fun. I hit triage and jani walker again, though I gotta do triage better to show it cleanly to reile. practice practice practice.
I want fury!
whirl>ripwalk>whirl>ripwalk>blender>almost ripwalk
pdx drifter> far swirl
reaper bsos
bubble bobble = datw from same side clipper
grifter
fog
toe whirling swirl
I just remembered I had a dream. Reile was a director named Unwich. I don't remember the rest.

It might be bubba bobble. i dunno. Reile told me.
Tried to play today. The top of my 2 first toes were cut up from shred 2 days ago, so it hurt when I did some moves. I had bandages on yesterday. So I switched to moves that didn't hurt it.
40 flip spinning clippers
20 pushups
5 atom smashers BS
20 pushups

20 pushups
10 atom smashers BS

Afterward I was tired, and I forced myself to keep trying flip eggbeater - maybe the most energy draining move - till I hit it.

I'm happy at the new together freestyle going down around lately. Reile is back in, Al is down, chris, josh, jake, and freddy. I really think we have a big feestyle scene here. We always have. We've hosted cool jams for lots of people that have come through. We need to get some videos out again to show the faces behind the blogs.
