Another short session today, I played with Paweł. Wasn't really feeling strong throughout the session, so I spent most of the time drilling or schooling single tricks. I had one good run started with Symp. Whirling Swirl > Whirr, that had the other Whirr in it. My Far Swirls are slowly getting better, maybe soon I'll be able to use them in runs. I also worked on midtime Ripstein (with a small set, Reverse Swirl style) to make the dexterities faster. I hit it once
I'm working on my new Shred30, we'll see how it works. I'm using easy links to make it reliable as I know that I have to be able to hit it even when tired.
There's a tournament in Ustka, a city near Słupsk in the north of Poland, but I'm still not sure if I'll make it there. After Worlds and Berlin I'm quite broke, but maybe I'll find a way to get there. It would suck to miss a competition in Poland.

Me and Olaf shredding today, first we had a circle (or maybe a line ), but not much was hit I think. I remember Blurry Whirl b2b > Whirlygig and Blurry Whirl > Alpine Blurry Whirl. Then we started schooling tricks - first I worked on Symp. Twirls and I figured out what I was doing wrong. My hit ratio got way up, as I hit Symp. Twirl > handcatch three times in a row on both sides. Also flip PS Twirl for the first time. Then Olaf started hitting Ducking Pdx Blenders so I schooled them as well. I think I've hit about 6 of them on each side, and then Alpine Food Processor two times on one side. Hitting Food Processor > Ducking Pdx Blender felt nice too.
We also practiced Doubles a bit. Our tricks are slowly getting more solid. And that's pretty much it for today

Hej Hania, jasne że mi pasuje piątek po południu. A na morskim gramy tak wcześnie dlatego że Olaf i Paweł dojeżdzają minimum godzinę i jeśli shred byłby później to praktycznie cały dzień mają z głowy. A tak akurat wracają na obiad i jeszcze mają sporo czasu do wieczora. Gdyby wszyscy mieli tak blisko jak ja to by nie było problemu

Had a short solo session this morning. Did some runs in the beggining and then worked on concepts. In the end tried some fearless stuff. New combos:
Blurry Whirl > Symp. Twirl BS
Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter > Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Blurriest > PS Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl > PS Whirl
I'm working on my Spinning out of PS Whirl on flipside so I could finish this combo with the other Spinning Pdx Whirl Towards the end of the session I got through my shred 30 a few times, and hit it dropless once. That would give me a round score of 200, so pretty stoked about that

Symp. Whirling Ripstein! Yeah! After more then 1 year since I've tried it for the first time I've hit it Got this awesome adrenaline rush, very rewarding feeling. I haven't felt that for a long time Worked on Blenders a lot as well, and I can see some progress. On the other note, inspired by the Park Session video of Jorden I juggled a bit, and learned some new tricks, like Mill's Mess. I'm slowly figuring out 4 ball juggling too. There's a competition in Ustka (north Poland) next weekend and I can't wait till I get there. For the first time there's going to be a Circle Contest, so it's going to be awesome.

Yeah, that is the best thing about our scene
I got my camera with me on today's session, and I gave a couple attempts at Symp. Whirling Ripstein again (and a couple means about 40 haha ), footed it a few times, but couldn't clear it. WOW!! That was so sweet! I thought the execution looked great but a different angle would also be nice for this trick. I just had to watch it over and over cos i love how your legs move in that trick, like whirling blades

Phew - I worked on this video till 2 p.m. yesterday But I'm really happy with how it turned out! I think I still have a lot to learn as it comes to editing, but it's good to know I can create a simple video like this one.

I'm back from Ustka, the tournament went extremely well, both competition and great time-wise The first day was held in a Park, near the shore, so there was a lot of spectators. I think during the finals there was the biggest crowd I've ever seen on a Polish tournament! The events that day were 4 Square and Circle Contest. 4 Square was nice, we had pools and everything, and the final match was very intense. The crowd cheered as Damian Budzik, Michał Ostrowski, Kamil Wysocki and me battled for the win I got lucky in the begginning by getting 8 points in one run. Damian was chasing quite quickly but after a few more games I reached the king's square and got the 15th point. The game point was earned because of a mistake of one of other players, I think there was a pass that was too low.
After the matches I tried playing Flower Stick (which I thought was called Devil Stick) and it turned out as a fun thing to do! I did some basic stuff and liked it a lot. There was also a juggling circle which I joined. Soon the Circle Contest started - it was the first time this event was played in Poland so we were pretty pumped for it. First pools went pretty fast, I had some good runs, and some drops on first contact But I advanced to the semis. In the semis the game got really hardcore, as Damian Gielnicki proceeded to turn his GODMODE on, and hit some really unbelievable strings. I think one of them had about 30 contacts with only Spinning tricks, with something like 4 five's in there. He was really destroying Luckily I advanced to the finals from the second place. The finals were pretty hardcore, everyone was tired already but still tried their best to hit some good runs. The first heat went pretty good for me, I remember hitting Janiwalker > Whirlygig midstring, which got a nice response from the crowd The second heat was a bit worse, I dropped more and my strings were shorter, and Marcing Bujko was tearing it up with his fast Steppings and hard tricks (he had a run with 3 six adders for example ). I thought he won the whole event, but as I turned out the judges ranked him much lower during the first heat, and I won - really nice moment After the comps we shredded some more, went to eat something, and came back to the place where we were staying.
The second day started with Open qualifications. I was nervous because I had a new routine which I hadn't practiced as much as I should. The other players played really well, Damian Gielnicki had a great routine and Tomek Ostrowski also played very well. My routine went way better then I expected - I played dropless I had two slops and didn't go for one of my cues because of a bad set, but the crowd didn't seem to notice it so much Then there was Shred30 and I did well too, getting 191 points (best competition score). The second place went to Kamil Hucał with 180 points, and Damian Piechocki was 3rd with 174 points. After Shred30 there was Doubles Freestyle, and once again Ostrowski brothers proved their amazing skills getting 1st place without much problem. Soon there was the time of the finals - it went ok, I had 3 drops, but all my cues were hit, and the judges gave me 1st place. In Sick3 I hit Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter > Food Processor, which was also judged as the best combo, the 2nd place went to Damian Gielnicki (Alpine Sidewalk > Symp. Whirling Legover > Pixie Torque), and 3rd to Marcin Bujko (Phoenix > Food Processor > Pdx Torque). After the award ceremony we went to some Pizza restaurant, talked about the competition and chilled.
We stayed for the next day, as the accomodation was for free, and there was a great shred session outdoors. I hit some new stuff, like:

Symp. Whirling Pdx Mirage > Plasma
Whirlygig > Mullet > Whirlwind
Gielnik hit Alpine Food Processor in his first try, and Wiktor hit a nice combo of Whirlygig > PS Whirl > Whirlwind. We played for about 3 hours and after that went back to the hostel where an epic Tekken tournament was organized The final battles were really nice to watch, those guys had skills!
The next day we said our goodbyes and started the trip back home which took about 8 hours. We're planning a small jam in Wroclaw on Wednesday, because shredders from Łódź are coming here, and probably the crew from Strzelin will visit us too. So some more shred action ahead!
