Only because I dislike the material on leather lavers and I don't like the idea of being forced to cut shit off of lavers if you don't want to

Mesh, because I like the way they breathe, and I like the way the bag feels through the mesh. I also think they look cooler. Almost like the shoes have netting on them.

There are actually different types of mesh under the leather lavers. I got a pair of blue leather lavers and the mesh under is thinner than the white/black
or white/white leather lavers. Since the blue leather lavers were so super thin they only lasted me about 2 1/2 months but those were the best 2 1/2 months of my life :D

If you get any thinner then the mesh after you've removed the canvas, you must be talking about friken' tissue papper. Without durability, your shoes can never fully brake in, thus preventing them from ever being simply an extention of your foot.
