Circles Part 2

Post by mentor »

Yet another Circle Competition shred video is just uploaded.

http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/-9593

This production features fewer players, because I used my very last footage from the outdoor rounds. The music is among my favourite and I think it works well with the pictures. So please once again…turn up the volume and enjoy some amazing players in action

Who's that one player in white shorts who had, like, a single run in each video? He shreds and looks kind of like Jason Crook.

I really enjoyed them.
It's neat to see the hanging jaws and faces of awe of onlookers while Jorden plays. There were lots of far swirls at Worlds!! Who was it that hit far swirl > surreal midstring?? Karim? That was sick.

The whirrs to the skipping at the end was neat :)

Thanks so much for the videos!

i will watch the video again to see who the white shorts guy was :)

EDIT:

Max Kerkhoff? i forget if i spelled his last name right

White shorts, black shoes = Max Kerkhoff

Thanks so much Mads! Both these videos have been so great to watch! Im digging the close-in photography, is this how you filmed it or is it zoomed-in in post-production? I think i may have liked this one even better than the first, some of the combos are just breathtaking and everyone is looking so strong! Esp. Felix, he has a certain presence in the circle that must make everyone scared :P

Thanks heaps for putting these out!

Thanks for correcting me…must have been really tired when I wrote the credits!

I not sure which close-in photography you mean, but I have not zoomed-in anything in post-production.

That is exactly what it was! Some games just have really cool sounds and music and I can’t help stealing bits and pieces.

I love it when the best comment someone can come up with on a new video, is to make fun of someones appearance

Mads, by close-in i meant like the camera seems very close to the players, so that they fill a big part of the screen, rather than in most cases where the camera is at like a 'long shot' kind of distance from the player. Your technique works well in this video!

Hi Ian

It’s the camerawork…. Usually I never zoom in these shots but I just get really close to the player.

I used to work filming at big concerts for a big screen production company, filming all kind of bands, events and performances. Usually we had 4 cameras and a producer, 2 cameras on stage, one in front of the stage and one in the far back of the stage. Therefore I learned to produce different kind of pictures and I also learned what an experienced TV-producer wants and what he doesn’t want. Guys like that can really scream in your headset if you don’t produce the right pictures.

the ducking run by felix really stood out to me

Hi Kevin…I have that exactly same feeling! Even though some of the duck/dives are a little thin I really love this particular run. :D

Heeey Phipsn…

I’m glad you liked the video. Worlds06 was an amazing scenario and it was a pleasure to film and edit pictures from the event. :D

Sorry I did not film or take still shots of Lise’s fire show but maybe somebody else did?

Say hello to the Frankfurt crew...
