I don't really know. I never bothered to count. Counting just messes me up anyway.

So, pretty good session with Dave at the lit tennis courts tonight. About an hour and a half. We both played pretty good.

Highlights
sidewalk>ripwalk>rpt
drifter>drifter
torque first try
spinning butterfly second try
dimwalk>blur>rpt

So that was pretty good. We played with my Jake Raye bag that is really good. Dave liked it. Still breaking in the Johnny Suderman bag.

Had another session tonight. Didn't really school much because I don't want to wear myself out before the week even starts seeing as I played yesterday. I tried whirling swirl a little and got pretty close. Also tried blurriest and footed it both sides. The only real highlight and it's not really a big deal was ducking clipper x3. I did have some pretty good strings though. And one really long one that had both sidealks, both ripwalks, a dimwalk, and a blur.

In non-shred related news, I aced my drivers test this morning. Not one mistake. Now all I have to do is set up the insurance and then it's ROAD TRIP!

not really.

So I shredded today with Dave and Alex. Actually twice. The first shred was at a park where I'd never played before. I played ok. Definitely not my best.

Highlights
smear>dimwalk>ripwalk>blur first try

Then the second session was basically right after. We drove back to Dave's and since the mats we ordered had arrived earlier we decided to play on them for a little while. I did better than the original session considering I was just fooling around

Highlights
flip blurry whirl(first flip 5)
ripwalk x4
came SO close to whirling swirl. it was footed but kind of fell of when my swirling foot hit the ground.
a very relaxed torque

Hopefully playing again tomorrow after work sometime.

So today was a pretty good day for the most part. There's a sad part in there but I'll get to that.

Anyway, Dave shows up at my house and him, me, alex, and allie(Dave's neighbor) head down to the strip mall by my house to get alex a yoyo. Along the way I decide to get one too just to give me a little something to do when I can't shred. That turned out pretty good because it was buy one get one 50% off and despite a little trouble at the checkout everything was cool.

So later on I went over to Dave's and we yoyoed a little and shredded a little and I hit whirling swirl(I wasn't hand caught because that didn't occur to me while I was in shock because it was right at the end of a string). Also blurry whirl first try. Footed blurry drifter and ps whirl. Some nice runs in there but it wasn't really a great shred because we were all beat(alex didn't play).

Now for the bad news. So I'm riding my bike home from Dave's and my phone rang so I went in my pocket to answer it and lost control and fell off my bike. A couple beautiful scrapes but I was pretty much unscathed. It wasn't until much later that I realized I had fallen on my phone and it's pretty much broken. Bummer.

So about a half hour ago I found this old yoyo tape my brother had frome when we were little. It had come with a yoyo he got for his birthday or something. I popped it in the vcr and I new all the typical yoyo tricks already(walk the dog, rock the baby, etc) so I fastforwarded to the more advanced stuff. Pretty easy stuff. I hit brain twister(or teaser I don't remember) and man on the flying trapeze, plus this trick alex was trying that wasn't on the video.

So other than my phone breaking the day was pretty good.

And another bummer is alex is leaving tomorrow and he probably won't be back for a while. He's a cool guy to shred with and just hang out with. Goodbye.

OK, so I've thought up a little experiment that will hopefully aid me in playing more and playing better. For the next two weeks(starting monday) I'm going to put myself on a schedule.

I'm going to wake up at 9 every morning and eat a good breakfast. Then play for at least an hour(probably mostly schooling). Warm ups, stretching and cooldowns included. This will hopefully prevent soreness. Then do whatever I do until lunch. Eat a good lunch. Do some more of whatever it is I do. Maybe play with Dave for a while including stretching and warm ups, etc. If not I'll play by myself either in the afternoon or evening(more of just a shred type session). Eat dinner. In bed by 11.

Hopefully this will remedy my oversleeping or lack of sleeping problem.

Rules/Restrictions:
No internet(yes that means modified)
No video/computer games
No computer whatsoever
TV at a minimum
Try and eat at least a little better
Junk food at a bare minimum
No soda/energy drinks(not that I have energy drinks anyway)
Lots of water
Lots of fruit
Try to read more(enrich the mind)
Learn some more yoyo(broaden my horizens)
Maybe take another stab at guitar(unlikely)
Walk/ride bike more, drive less

This will also help me with the load of stuff my parents want me to get done before summer is over. I want to get over my lazyitis.

Of course this will have to be moved a little once I find out my work schedule, but if I'm lucky it wont get in the way.

I will probably have more added to it by the time monday rolls around. But if this works with the whole healthy thing I should have more energy to play more longer.

So the dates are Monday July 31 -Monday August 14.

This will be my last post for the next two weeks. I've made a whole list of things I wanna hit before I'm done. And another list of things I'm gonna school the shit out of. They will both probably grow. I know I can hit almost all of the things on the list if I work hard enough. I will keep track of what I hit(whether on the list or not) and how I play for the next two weeks.

Yeah, so that little experiment was a complete flop. The first day went great then on the second day my back hurt a little so everything got thrown off. So basically I broke all of my rules except shred everyday. That was the most important part so maybe it wasn't a total loss.

Anyway I've decided to screw everything else and here's the highlights from this past week.

Highlights:
31 contacts butterfly>infinity>osis>pdx mirage rpt
25 contacts butterfly>pdx mirage rpt
drifter x3
ducking butter bsos
plo x3
pdx whirl bsos
46 osis
31 infinities
whirl>ripwalk rpt
pdx whirl x2
ducking clip x4
flip dyno
pixie muted clip bsos
ripwalk x6
tap bsos
ripwalk>sidewalk rpt
paradon bsos
spin clip bsos
gyro clip bsos
blurry whirl bsos
dyno bsos
blender
flip dimwalk midstring
flip pixie same osis
flip atomsmasher
ripwalk and smear bsos same string

Thats a total of about 6 hours of shred all together so I think its a pretty decent list. I'm going to continue playing everyday as hard as I can push myself so that should be good.

Btw, Chris Miller came up today all the way from washington, dc just to shred. A 6 hour drive total. And god knows how much money he spent on gas and tolls. That guy is way cool.

Eh, I'm okay...lol

Dude, great playin with you today. You're already crazy at footbag. I on the other hand played like ass, but it's all good. I guess the time off is starting to catch up. After US Open, I'm going to set a little stricter shred schedule.

Good job on footing blurry whirl bsos today :o That's not bad for 6 months into the game

Hope to see you at Funtastik!

Another awesome session today. Too days in a row, feeling good. Anyway, I played better than I normally do. Lots of steppin and pixie stuff in the strings(I was throwing parkwalk in like every string. Not like its a hard trick but I just never do it). Got close to some new tricks. Eggbeater, stepping ss whirl, pdx blender. That stuff would be pretty cool to be able to hit.

Highlights
huge strings for me
flip merkon
dimwalk>pdx whirl bs
so close to smear>plo rpt
flip paradon was on
EDIT: pixie whirl bs

I know there was more but it was just too good of a day to remember it all.

Also, Dave's video came. It was really cool and Dave had his own little section. Pretty sick.

Had a pretty good day today up until now. I went to the compact disk center and bought some good music(yes I actually pay for my music). Then I had a pretty good session. Well it wasn't great but it's how they're supposed to be. It was a lot of fun. Like I was screwing up osis and I laughed at myself for being bad. I don't know, it was just cool.

Anyway, Highlights
symp mirage>plo bsos
spinning pdx mirage
legbeater twice in one string(not bsos like I wanted)
blur>legbeater

So that was cool. Then I went to the Musikfest thing in my town. Some thing the city does every year. It was pretty boring. Plus I got a freaking parking ticket. $30.

O man. I had a really cool session today. Theres absolutely no listmaking highlights but it was great. My strings were distustingly long. Ususally I average 15-25 contacts. Today I was averaging 25-35. I Had a few strings between 40 and 50. And it wasn't just tiltless and bops. There was some ripwalks, dimwalks, dynos, symp mirages, whirls, and drifters. I was just feeling it today.

Aw man, I love you footbag.

Had a short shred today because I had to work. It was ok. I hit simple swirl, blurry whirl, and whirling swirl all first try one right after the other which really made me happy. Not much excitement after that.

Then me and my dad were fixing a tailight on one of the cars and he told me to step on the brake to see if the light work and when I stepped on it the brake line ruptured. It was corroded through. So I don't have a car to drive for a while but I'm really lucky that that didn't happen on the rode.

At the moment I'm going crazy trying to figure out anything I can from US Open. I hear Dave had a 264 in shred 30 and that that got him second place. I wonder what first place(Jorden?) got. And Penske got third. I need to know more.

I woke up early today so I could get a shred in before work. I rode my bike to the college tennis courts which, upon arrival, I found to be full with chicks in some tennis class. Ok, no problem I just played in the basketball courts right next to it. This I do not recomend seeing as it put more wear on the soles of my lavers than normally wears in like 2 weeks.

The session wasn't very good but I pushed myself to just keep playing which in and of itself is pretty cool, for me at least. I hit simple swirl and blurry whirl both first try again but that was about it. Came pretty close to reverse swirl and butterfly swirl.

I listened to this cd my friend let me borrow called Billy Talent. It was pretty good. I had never heard of them. Definitely a keeper.

To cool down I took a lap around the baseball field right next to the courts. This was a good idea I think. I'll probly try to run a little after sessions because my stamina feels a little low lately.

My car got towed to the garage today so hopefully I'll have it back late this week or early next week.

Had 2 sessions today, both about an hour long. Neither of which I was very happy with. The second session was at the courts again, but this time without the tennis girls :? . I managed to hit some new stuff in the first session but the footbag just wasn't cooperating today. Abig difference from the sessions I was having about five posts up.

Highlights
rev swirl
butterfly swirl
dso
came pretty darn close to ripwalk swirl in the second session

I schooled stepping today. Mostly just trying to throw stepping same clipper in as often as possible. Especially flip. If I keep doing this it should eventually help my stepping considerably.
