I found this vid. on youtube, its of ryan the regulator shredding in a field of grass. Some of his friends are with him, one of which is of a darker tone.

dude that video is sick, i love the music and the black guy... let's just say he needs some work... he's about as good as i am

As long as we're posting sightings or whatever this is, "Max Jaeger Solo" shows Max's shred partner several times, who appears to be black. He shows up at 1:37 - 1:52, 2:10, and for a second at the end. So we've proved that there are black shredders, but any thoughts on why there are so few?

Both times, in the video with Ryan and my video, it is Daryl Canady who you are talking about. He is a member of the Munich Footbag Crew since summer 2004. But he already played footbag back in 2001 with some other munich shredders, (e.g. Daniel Schultes who is also shown in the Ryan video) but most of them don't play anymore. But Daryl broke his leg and had to take a long break from Footbag, from wich we restored him in 2004

Btw. the park where Ryan plays is the English Garden in Munich.

i cannot believe that you people (except c-fan) don't know about "chocolate thunder" a.k.a. leonard griswell! he's a badass! i kicked with him a couple of times when he lived in columbia, mo. derrick fogle & leonard are both fantastic freestylers. it's been about a year since i've heard from him but i know he moved down to florida in 2005. i think he's staying in winterpark... sorta near orlando.

not to forget Ra'San Jong, old school freestyler from California, now living in Lausanne, Switzerland. I met him for the first time at the Footjam in Zurich in 2001. He's such a nice, warm-hearted, and conscious person, I wish there were more people like him in the footbag scene, no matter what color their skin.

Why so few players of darker skin? Good question.

I just don't think it's a cool enough sport to attract everyone.

Mostly nerds play footbag. Darker skinned nerds are less common too.

Too bad too.

I wish there were more Sunil's out there inventing new sets like quantum and furious.

Editing posts is kinda weak, and so is being offended.
