Aha..the annoying TV crew. Interesting, how they made a good report

edit:
I can download and save the video (you need Greasemonkey), but converting it to a normal format is a bit tricky..working on it.

ye thx a lot! all in all a cool report to help the sport growing in germany!

but there were a few mistakes i didnt like:

- stefan is not doing only a "butterfly" as last trick
- vasek is not 23
- when the french guys were caught it wasnt during the finals at mousontourm (as far as i can remember)
- they gave vasek a too self-confident voice IMO (this is not so important, i know)

what i liked:

- the length
- the computer animations (looked funny but it helps people to understand it)
- the interviews with stefan, jochen and the others!
- great report to give people a an overview about footbag as sport!

i think (hope) that people start trying it after theyve seen it, and thats what counts!

edit: im working on a subtitled version! gonna release tomorrow. i must say, while making this i noticed its really crap. they say a bunch of shit that isnt true. i dont really like it anymore.. and holy shit, did they have to use the drug scene? well thats how prosieben tries to get people watching it. really fcked up they used it against stefans (and ours) will!!

Lol! Those simulation things are awesome!!!

What was the deal with the police? Did someone get caught in possession at the event?

Great report even though I didn't understand a word! Alex Urano from Aussie and Phil Morrison from NZ were in it!! :) awesome.

thank god you didnt understand a word, otherwise you'd probably have quite a different opinion... someone should make english subtitles.
at first i thought the report was kinda cool and representing footbag well but then they started making up sooo much bullshit that it got really annoying and made me pretty angry actually. i was hanging out with stefan yesterday and told him about the report (he hadnt seen it yet) and he was also really pissed that they took the whole weed-thingy and made a whole story out of it ...he actually told the tv-guys that if they were gonna broadcast it he wouldnt wanna be filmed anymore...but they didnt show no respect to him or the other players and even made up some fucking story - like finals (at night) were interrupted by police (by day, 3 days earlier)...
so I have quite a low opinion of this tv report. maybe for someone who doesnt know footbag at all it was kinda helpful, although besides all the bullcrap they made up i think it was filmed rather badly...
anyways... watch it. its at least fun to see all the people again.
bis später peter.

i really liked it, but i hated the camera work and i dont speak german(or what ever language it was).

Iunno if was just me but it seemed like they focused on faces rather than feet most the time.

all in all i think it was a most excellent report!

more than 13 minutes exposure on major german television for footbag. what more can we ask for?
of course they constructed a weird story and of course they got the names of the moves wrong. and of course they could have done without the drug incident. but hey, what do you expect. its television.

i think even the drug thing was handled well. they portrayed it as an individual incident and not like there was smoking dope all over the place (which realisticly they could have done).

subtitles

Post by Wumbo »

alright here is the subtitled version (english):

http://fizzied.phasing.org/stefan-world ... titled.avi

now you can make a better opinion on it. i worked through the night and i learned some new words ;) the most upsetting thing was converting and adding the subtitle file to it. but finally it worked!
