There's a layer under the inside surface identical to the toe, but I don't feel like modding that yet. So far the clippers are fine without doing that, so we'll see. They play pretty well so far, clippers are cool, toes are a tad shaky in the way climas are. They feel fairly similar to climas, but somehow seem lighter or less bulky or something. The instep slopes inward a bit for a little better surface. I haven't had a full session with them yet, because I'm letting my knee heal for a few days. I'll post more about them as I play in them more.
Well, I warmed up in these today...Eh, I don't know if it's because they just suck, or that they're so much like climas that I'd have to get used to them. Like, I can hit clippers in them, the toe's a little weird, but it's kinda the same deal as climas, where they feel bulkier and not as tight and light on your feet as lavers do. Of course, a lot of people say you just gotta get used to that and it disappears after a while.
Oh well, I'd like to see if someone who rocks climas could do anything with them. I guess I'll take them to Funtastik and see if anyone likes em.
Looks neat...but there's no chance of there ever being toe walls with that shoe (from what I can tell) which kinda sucks...even climas have a bit of a toe wall you can lace up. Cool find nonetheless though.

give them a chance, if you're used to lavers then yeah they're gonna be really wierd at first- doesnt mean they wont excell beyond anything you've ever shred in before once u get it down!

Yeah they look pretty shreddable. I wasn't too keen on the toe but I just noticed the pic where you cut more of it out, and it looks better now. Will be interesting to see how they turn out... how they go for weight?

Well, my theory is that anyone who likes climas would love these. It's even possible to remove the inside material to expose the layer underneath, made from the same material as the toe. They're bulky, but I think climas feel bulky. I bet taller players would love these. I think the toe may be better if I did a tubing mod going around the front of the toe.
It's actually kinda cool to warm up in them cuz lavers feel like I'm wearing nothing at all after those.

You know it's funny Chris, that you find climas are bulkier than lavers, I feel exactly the opposite. I guess different strokes for different folks. This is the first shoe I've seen in a while that looks like it'll work though. Once again, props on the find. It's nice to know that there's other shoes out there that could be used.

Yeah, one last thing on these. I could've modded the toe to remove the inner layer instead of the outer layer, and that may have broken in to be a good toe box. Who knows, I see shoes LIKE these all the time in stores, this isn't the only one. Some are a lot cheaper too, and worth it.

I was totally thinking that! But I have to say, if you didn't cut so much out of the toe's outer layer, the tubing mod could be just a tad easier to apply. It can still work though.
And I think these shoes are much more bulkier than Climas. Maybe it's the sole? I know the padding on Climas may look bulky at first. It's like comparing G-units to Lavers, where the Goonitz have much more padding on the ankle support and tongue than Lavers do.

Anyways, looks like a pretty good shred shoe, just not for $90. I'd say if there were one thing to change about the toe it'd be the last cut you made. It is convex and rounds toward the tip of the toe, I'd make it concave so the bag would have more area to fall into when you keep your toes curled up. Inside surface is hard to tell what is really goin on, but I'll be the judge of that at Funtastiks. What size shoe you wear ?
The fabric on the toe may as well not even be there. You're feeling the bag directly on your foot, cuz that material's really loose. Yeah, I shouldn't have spent that much. It really was one of those wow, those look really playable and I don't care how much they cost. I have a little buyer's remorse I guess, but eh. I wear size 10. If anyone DOES like them at Funtastik, I'll sell them for like half price or something. I've barely used them.
