...A teenage mutant turtle? Perhaps one with ninja abilities?

I just got my Dufflebag. It is sooo sweet. I'd put it up but my camera isn't working. You'll check it out later anyways.

This is successful bag #5. I made 2 that weren't kickable, the first one was just rediculous and the 2nd one had bleed holes that were too big. That one I made for Jeremy, not sure how much stitching i'm going to be doing in the very near future because of lack of $.. going to Portland, Lake Havasu, and Humboldt is going to drain my fundage.

Hadn't played footbag for like 4-5 days... and my back felt like total shit, so I decided to have an epic session to see if I could make it feel better. It didn't work. I'm sick of feeling like a fucking cripple, but the pain doesn't seem to be affecting my game any.

simple swirl strongside only, real close to butterfly swirl. After the session I thought about setting it from toe or same side, i think that might be easier.

starting on my flip i hit whirlX3>drifter>whirlX2

p drifter>p whirl
p dada curve, p torque, backside blur
110 alternating clippers (the jeremy drill, 1-1-2-2-3-3 all the way to 10)
a whole shit-ton of symp pixies and symp mirages without dropping, for about 10 of them I set them super high and got major air, that's fun but probably fucking stupid for me to do with my back now that I think about it.

stepping osis bsos
blizzard bsos first time, hit blur in same run

lots of good runs, I love footbag.

Last session i'll have for quite some time in southern California. It was hot as a mother outside, so brett and I only played for like 1.5 hours, maybe less. I hit a few decent things still..

quantum mirage first time (though brett said it was all downtime)
symp bubba BS, it was too hot to hit it bsos.

last 2 sessions i tried to hit illusion, pdx illusion, and bubba BSOS in the same run and failed, today after lots of tries I hit all those in a run with mirage, pdx mirage, and clipper mirage also.

Tried to surge; way beyond me.

Lake Havasu for the weekend then Santa cruz/Portland with only a day inbetween... should be absolutely ridiculous.
120 degree weather + jager + jetskis = mayhem.

Thanks guys :D I got an abshire footbag and a longboard(skate, not surfboard.) It's pretty daunting to go open, I'm thinking it will be a while before I compete again.. I'd like to be able to hit at least 10-15 guiltless consistently before I compete open I think. Really going to work on that in the next few months.

Ooooook so I'm gonna post about Portland now....

It was awesome. Having to be in a car for like 32 hours this past week was intense, but well worth it. Met a bunch of awesome new people, Shredded with a bunch of awesome new people, hung out with my GIRLFRIEND EMILY  and the santa cruz crew (who I don't get to see for a month  ,)and played sooooooooooo much footbag. I ate a whole lot of pizza. Watching Penske, Moir, and Clavens compete and shred in circles was insane. Also super impressed by Will Digges, Matt Cross, Justin dale, Ricky Moran, Sam Potter, Stephen Barnes, and Dylan Fry.

So now my shred! had the best session of my life the first day, hit witchdoctor first try, backside blur, the longest guiltless run of my life (not sure on contacts, i'm guessing 15-20 nongenuine contacts.

Toe butterfly swirl for the first time, Samside butterfly swirl for the first time. I also hit Whirling swirl for the first time, sealed to hand catch twice but it was pretty kicky, I couldn't have held the clipper there. Still awesome.

The 2nd day the most memorable thing was hitting atomic illusion ending on inside, and blurry whirl completeley clean for the first time. While practicing for sick 3 I hit muted tapdown>blur>backside legbeater, legbeater>ripwalk>ducking butterfly, and ripwalk>ducking butterfly>ducking pdx mirage

Competition!
The first day I got 100 in shred 30, the 2nd I got 128.
Hit Ripwalk>ducking clipper>whirl and ripwalk>pdx mirage>legbeater in sick 3, and zulu butterfly in sick 1.
My routine was not planned at all, and was exhausting. I did it to the 2nd track on deltron 3030, I dropped a whole bunch and didn't stop shredding the entire time. If I'm ever going to do a routine again, I'm going to have the whole thing planned out, with plenty of kicks and weaksauce stuff in it so i can catch my breath.

The 3rd day I hit frontside legbeater for the first time, footed symp tap. blurry whirl totally clean again, and tomahawk super clean twice. I also hit whirl>pdx whirl>drifter>pdx drifter. Had an amazing time hanging out playing scrabble and hanging out with everybody in a hotel one night, crashed at red's one or two nights, and at Noah's once. Had fun everywhere I went.

Things I'm going to try and hit sometime soon: Blur>ducking clip rpt, whirl>pdx whirl rpt, riptide, blurry drifter, more symposium atomic stuff.

Just got done with the 5th flower on bag #9, it's green pents and cinnabar/gray hexes. altered my pattern for slightly larger hexes, .8-1-30% now. Ordered more fabric today, atlantis, petit pois, rhapsody, and flash red. Excited! My stitching is slowly getting more consistent.. It's getting easier for me to see exactly how the bag changes as my stitching changes... i.e. how deep I'm stitching, how far the spacing is, etc. I'm unhappy with 2 of the flowers of my newest bag already, but I know what I did wrong and that's the important part I guess.

Shredding tomorrow with dave, brett, hopefully brian fournier and chad. Back is feeling better but neck is stiff today.. I'm just hoping my body doesn't fall apart before I go to the net graveyard willingly. :?

had a session with brett earlier today, felt sluggish and like I was being held back by my injury. hit a few decent things before i had to stop because of pain..

blur>ducking clipper rpt
pdx illusion>toe whirl bs
whirl>drifter>dlo
18 osi
whirl>osis rpt
osis>p drifter first time

probably kicking tomorrow if i'm not in too much pain.
