ok so i guess i have this footblog which i havent updated in forever.

god damnit i suck at this kind of stuff.

luckily though i have lots to report i suppose- unfortunately im tired and lazy so i will give some highlights from today...

shred at metlox with fletcher, we had difficulty finding a good spot for his new mats but we found a prime spot and posted up with some fat beats and had ourselves a pretty rock solid session. a couple of hours at least.

ive recently hit some new stuff... including but not limited to:

spinning clipper
ducking/diving/zulu/weaving
atomic dlo
pixie eggbeater
pixie dlo
paradon, barfly, double over downs
paradox whirl
pixie drifter/osis
stepping drifter
magellans and PLOs are dialed

DATW both ways on right foot, atw in left foot
torques... paradox/ss
stepping whirl

im most proud of my new 5s though, which include
pixie torque
blurry whirl
blurry barfly
pixie diving osis
pixie same barfly ish thing

was stoaked to hit a sick1 and a sick3 today courtesy of fletcher who did the filming/editing/submitting for me cause hes a great guy

shred at the spectrum at my new home in san antonio-

all i can say is instead of being populated with gorgeous girls and way too ripped dudes, i was greeted with nothing but old people...

ohhhhhhhh to be in california again...

anyway footbag feels much different to me having not smoked cigarettes and bud in quite awhile. its not easier, its not harder... i dont have more or less endurance even... but its a lot different.

i worked some basics- hit a few multiple sidewalks and ripwalks back to back to get my stepping in order, pixie will never leave me im convinced until way beyond my inability to physically lift my legs... drilled a little osis because for some reason my right foot didnt want to osis effectively... but it was a fluke and i soon hit 10 back to back and quit.

did a little bit of BOP consistency- truth be told the clarity of mind makes it a little easier to plan tricks in advance, instead of just thinking of what to do next i can plan runs of different concepts on different sides etc- i dont forget what to do next quite as much

working on a bag for brett- soon dave. hope to be done with them within close range so i can mail them at the same time, i wouldnt want anyone to be left out as long as u gents are still livin together hah

i hit my first 6 today!
im pretty fuckin stoaked, i didnt know it until fletch told me that stepping op blender was Food Processor!

i also footed locomotion but ive never hit a really clean motion before...

today was my 2nd spectrum sesh... (prolly the 2nd real sesh ive had since ive been here 6 weeks)

i moved some stationary bikes around and had myself a hour and a half session. some stuff:

drilled dyno and blender both sides, my weak blender still sucks

hit 5 consec whirls BSOS connected by a butterly

practiced some double downs> hit it BSOS but my flip sucks

hit FOOD PROCESSOR (FIRST 6) which im fuckin stoaked about

footed locomotion even though ive only hit regular motion like 1x

gotta work on long strings... all this BSOS business is mostly just me connecting the tricks with butterflies...

worked on drifters which suck horribly nowdays

needless to say i think i caught the bug again cause i cant wait to shred soon!!!
i think this time im gonna shred seperate from lifting cause it sucks to shred afterwards when all my muscles hurt

you've got the jist of it, but not the implimentation. Have you finished the bag? Or did you find that the seams didn't stay popped out?

OMG its toby!! whatup dude- thanks for bein one of the only reasonable minds on my rant thread

hehe naw never finished it- although the dynamics of your bag made me wonder about the creases... the implementation would indeed take a little tuning. i was thinking something even as unconventional as knots on either side of the pinch... ive always wanted to experiment with knots

truth is what deterred me was the ability of the fabric to break in so pleated as it seems... i wrote off the chance that it could actually become a really good bag, but theres no way to know without testing it!

very interesting nonetheless

finished bretts bag today at alchys anonymous. that place is fuckin intriguing to a non alchy such as myself. stupid court... i was tellin ben it was pretty funny, todays topic was "feelings" and i sat and stitched the last couple panels, brought my pre-made concoction of filler in a medicine bottle and noisily filled and finished my bag in the middle of everyone lamenting. it was great. i love arguing.

anyways gettin back to the point here it is in all its glory, one of the first bags ive ever stitched that was the same dimentions and hole placement as the one preceeding it... ben and brett both got the same bag in diff colors

*note* this pic was color enhanced to better match the colors... unlike the one on the "bags ive made" thread.

ill get it to CA by the 23rd... ill even send it overnight if i have to!

Hey man, not sure if i'm that reasonable; it took me about 4 posts before i realised what we were actually talking about.

When you say that you don't think it will break in, is this because you think that the bag is structurally stiff?

If so, then you are thinking about it in the wrong way. It actually does the opposite. I've kindof encouraged selected parts of the flange to burst free; this actually releases tension in the bag and makes it softer(and hopefully grippier).

hey man, its all speculation!

its no doubt a super rad lookin bag, im quite interested in how it breaks in. maybe we could engineer a trade one day- id be more than willing to give it a fair chance and a half! either way its unique for sure and thats to be admired. im tryin a couple new things with my stitching as of late as well and have been quite pleased with the results. keep me updated on that thing!

i had a really good session yesterday- it felt really progressive.

first of all my string length is back for sure, for some reason i was hitting a lot of illusion tricks in my strings, i hit blurry illusion BSOS a couple times, i hit blurriest a couple times on the right, im still working on my weak paradon.

i also hit swirl for the first time with bretts bag #2 that im sendin em

and immediately afterwards drilled my left till i hit it!

im pretty close to blurry torque which would be another 6 under my belt- all in all it was a great session and i got really comfortable with some of my old stuff like stepping and pixie. my stepping is real consistent again finally. i hit a bunch of sidewalks and ripwalks in a string and i think i got above 10 or 15 contacts of just those. i dont know but im happy about swirl BS

alright had an awesome sesh today for about an hour and 45 minutes-

highlights:

swirl bsos

swirl>swirl>swirl (strong)

quantum clipper

legbeater bsos

stepping op illusion BSOS

omg almost forgot FLAILS! BS

incorporated in runs too!

double switch overs BS (easier than i thought)

basically illusions all over the place... im hoping to start turning them into double dexes eventually- i did some blurriest too which was cool all in all really good sesh

food processor is frustratingly difficult im thinking i might have a better chance with blurry torque hah... bleh

another sesh yesterday- i just pretty much failed miserably at shred.

i hit some stuff but nothing good and i was tired and aching so it was no fun, then i was just pissed cause i couldnt hit anything.

but today i had a good sesh, tryin to get some good stuff on film for the comp- ended up hitting a couple cool runs and drilled a lot.

on vid:

id really like to hit something like blurry whirl>sidewalk> blurriest

itd be even cooler to hit blurry whirl>stepping whirl>blurriest

and itd be cooler still to hit blurry whirl > blurriest> food processor

but i dont see the second two happening too soon. who knows...

im pissed because the only sick three i got on vid was the dimwalk>steppingwhirl>torque and im not even sure if that would be a better one than my existing dimwalk>sidewalk>blurrywhirl
