Robinson (don't know his last name) and Thomas Sustrac under the Eiffel Tower one night.

The next was better..same crowd plus Charles Dupuy, Mathieu Gauthier, Serge Kaldany, and Vaclav Klouda. I only really kicked with Thomas though, that day, since I'd never really seen freestyle before. You can't really jump into a circle with Vasek when you don't have toe to toe dialed.

Probably Gordon Bevier, Yacine the Fiend, Sebastien Duschesne, and Steve Goldberg at Funtastik 99.

It's cool seeing mike strumpf come up on this list, that guy was an awesome freestyler. I used to love playing with him in the RFA. He used to be so funny that I couldn't shred. I would just crack up while trying to kick and drop. That was a little frustrating at the time, but it's funny to look back on ;)

Red, Noah Jay-Bonn, Andrew McCargar

Red was the first BAP member I have ever had the pleasure of shredding with. At the time though, I didn't know Red was a "real" pro because he was "old school" to me, and I didn't know about BAP.

The first real "Pro", who I knew was a pro, I played with with was Lon Smith (my idol), when he kinda half assed kicked in an intermediate circle that I was in at SJFF 3. Then I actually played wiht Jim Penske at the nampa peace festival last year, which is when I realized that there are a lot of great shredders on the west coast too.

I think the first freestyler I ever encountered was Kevin Richey, followed shortly by Justin, Ricky, and hey, Mike Strumpf was there, too.

I consider myself to be pretty lucky. First Session, Josh Benham and some people at Kick till your sick. Then Maybe my 4th or 5th real freestyle session, Josh, Nick Miller, Kevin Mcsomething, and..... Kenny Shults.

You're bizarre Dave. :)

First guy I shred with was Jared Birkholz from Edmonton...he wasn't amazing, but compared to what I was doing, it was enough to give me something to work towards.

The first "familiar names" I shred with were...Brett Campbell, Rob Fuller, and Brian Johnson.

My cousin Andrew lured me into freestyle. He taught me the basics in public places (crowded malls, stages, festivals).

The first "big names" I kicked with were Kevin Regamey and Jared Birkholz.

Ken Somolinos was the first pro I ever played with at Funtastik 01. Also at that event: Jon, Bevier, Yacine and Seb. There were lots of other good players there too, but I was intimidated by those kinds of circles since I was just becoming guiltless and cameras were always running on them (which became Overground).

First other people i played with were like Karl Murr, Brendan Erskine, Lynton Stephens and Matt Baker at the first Aussie Championships in December 2001. I got my first pair of second hand Lavers there (the old, heavy style) from Karl... *memories*

First BAP member i played with was Ales Zelinka when he came to Australia in 2004. Talk about an eye-opener!
