i don't think i'll be coming... i live on long island and am 17... so driving by myself would be idiotic... none of my friends would dare miss school for this sort of thing... i know none of you... and don't have any accomodations. plus, i don't thi nk my parents would be too thrilled about me going to canada by myself with a bunch of strangers for a footbag competition, that of which i'm not even good at.

Man! You gotta look for the positives in things, not just the negatives!Spontaneous Spaz wrote:i don't think i'll be coming... i live on long island and am 17... so driving by myself would be idiotic... none of my friends would dare miss school for this sort of thing... i know none of you... and don't have any accomodations. plus, i don't thi nk my parents would be too thrilled about me going to canada by myself with a bunch of strangers for a footbag competition, that of which i'm not even good at.
You don't have to miss school to come, you can leave Friday after school and then drive home Sunday evening in time to go to school Monday morning!
You know none of us, what better way to know us than to meet us?? Footbag players are almost all really really nice, cool, genuine people, I have never met a better crowd in all my life.
And also, there is no better way to make a BIG leap in your footbag skills and understanding than to come to a tourny!!
Seriously! They are the happiest time in the world! Someone back me up here!

You're trying to discourage yourself.. and I'm not sure why.
If you love footbag then you should be fighting and struggling as hard as you can to make this happen.
I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I will tell you that you shouldn't be trying so hard to find reasons why *not* to come.

*I* live in NYC, Queens, Astoria, a huge milestone below Long Island and Binghampton even, and I wouldn't want to miss this event for the world.
I missed it last year, and regret doing so. You know I'm going to bring my KICKASS '05 tee that I bought from Tom after this most 'kickass' event!!!
I'm with you Tom! I'm definitely going to try and catch a ride with the RFA!

that would be savagely cool, however the co-op doesn't have internet access. balls. i got an idea though, i'll rep kickass at hackrifice by sporting my kickass t-shirt from last year, and you can rep hackrifice at kickass by wearing your hackrifice shirt from last year!mosher wrote:WEB CAM PARTY LINKUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

I like your thinking Andrew.
On the topic of shirts, I will be doing something really brave and I will be screen printing the shirts myself!
Expect the badassest shred shirts EVER to be for sale too!
I plan to take shred shirts eight steps in the cooooooooool direction.
I love footbag.
I am trying to make KICKASS2 one of the best North American tournaments ever. That is seriously my goal, please come and support it and make it massive!

Oh man. I'm sooooo stoked. There's some people prolly who'll be at KICKASS that I haven't seen since the last KICKASS!! It's gonna be really awesome to compare how much everybody has progressed and whatnot since the last one. Ohhhhhh MAN!!! WOOOOOOOOO
Which reminds me, once again, anybody who wants to get in my car should seriously get in touch with me soon. My car list is currently empty, and I kinda wanna have things planned early instead of at the last minute.

I love shred shirts! This'll be... well, I'm not even going to bother mentioning how ill this is gunna be since it's already been said so many times.
That's a cool idea though Andrew!! I wish I had a hackrifice-T to sport... I guess there's none left that I could buy now, eh?
@Lackey: I think my mom will prolly be driving Jamie and me up... If I can I'd love to get her to just friken stay at home and I'll take a damn bus. There are some things about being 16 that reeeaaaallly suck though. We'll see...
keep it real!!

Bryce: Maybe get in touch with the NYFA people or something? I don't know if they're coming or not, or geographically if they're anywhere near you, but it may be worth a try? Good luck! Come to KICKASS!

I'm pretty much the only NYFA that's likely (only an assumption, don't kill me Tom
) to be representing at Kickass. I'm planning on taking a bus to Rochester, NY and bunking in with the RFA under Paul Agostinelli's guidance to get me to Kingston.
Try talking to the RFA or any shredder around that vicinity to get to Kickass, Bryce! This trip is going to be a long journey well worth taking for me.
