spraying painting lavers

I was thinking of trying to do some interesting designed with my rod lavers (just to make them unqiue or have fun with them) I was wondering if anyone else has done this yet?

My first problem wouldbe if the spray paint making the mesh harder, thus crusty and hard to actually feel the footbag. If not then I think I'll go through with this and have at it?

Any warnings or tips would be nice (besides taping the parts I don't want sprayed down)

You might want to check out vinyl dye. It comes in a spray can, just like spraypaint, but it actually soaks into whatever it is you spray it on instead of just sticking to the top. You can find it at automotive stores.

Note, I haven't tried it myself, so I can't attest to how well it will work.

Ive tried the automotive dye spray stuff on my car seats. It covered them evenly, and throroughly, and hasn't rubbed off or faded in 2+ years!
