My juggling video- with a little shred

Post by sniper4life »

Hey, as it says my name's Ron and I've decided to start a blog so I can track my progress in footbag. I'm just starting to get back to practice since my knees are feeling better (thank god to hood's stretches :D ).

Today I started schooling the basics with some drills again. Basically mirage > Legover rpt, clipper > ss clipper > op clipper > ss clipper rpt.
and beginning to do illusion > pickup rpt

I am really seeing improvement in my flip clips and tonight I was able to hit pixie mirage for the first time. Was very satisfied with tonights session and hopefully I can go out to taste of Chicago Sunday and play with people.

Had a decent shoeless session tonight. Mostly schooling more basics and did a little ducking. I hit smear out of mirage so I was pretty happy about that. Had a couple decent strings and my illusions seem to be coming along although I need practice on my right. Oh yeah, I stitched a 4 paneled sand bag that I used today. Really like it except my finishing needs help. Thats about it for today.

Today I stitched a new 4 panel and the ends looked decent and I finally got the closing knot good and tucked it back into the bag.

Another drilling session today. Did 10 mirages, legovers, pickups each side and 7 illusions each side as a warm up. Then I proceeded to get as many contacts of mirage>legover rpt, illusion>pickup rpt, and clipper>ss clipper>op clipper> ss clipper rpt.

6 contacts of mirag>legover
6 contacts of clipper drill thing
only 2 contacts of illusion>pickup bc my right illusion is weak and I'm schooling it.

Hit smear first try and I'm getting alot more consistent at that and began schooling left side pixie sets. Had to quit early because my knee started bothering me (man do I need them spencos). Thats about it for today.

Woohoo, finally back to my blog and shred sessions. I've had 2 sessions this week. The first was mostly warm up stuff to get me back into it. Not really any highlights and mostly drills. Almost forgot that I did hit some clipper set dlo's.

My session tonight was pretty good. Improved my mirage > legover to 11 contacts. I almost tripled any legover b2b record I previously had with 14 contacts :D. Illusions looked decent and my pickups really disappointed me. Finally did some osis again and a couple ducking clips.

Felt like a pretty good session to get back into things. Friday I'm leavin for Washington D.C. for 11 days or so.

Just got back from Washington and it was so much fun meeting people from all across the country. I even met some footbaggers as I walked by a park and saw them playing net. To bad I missed midwest regionals it sounded like lotta fun :(

Now to footbag...
Didn't school much out there and I only played in my small hotel room.
I randomly did some stepping sets and footed ripwalk alot. Other then that I pretty much did random strings for fun. So not that much to talk about.

Shredded today for first time in a few days. And I must say it felt great :D . Not to many highlights as usual. I hit a couple of my challenges and actually did a couple heel stalls. I felt really good today and i'm gettin so close to hittin blur and ripwalk. I told my friend how I got my record of 14 contacts on mirage>legover and he told me to show him. I got 13 on first try. I taught him to hit is first 3 add which of course was butterfly. Thats about it, but we did have a good time hitting golf balls off the nearby elementary school.

I played 2.5 hours today with my friend. Got him to hit his first mirage and even mirage>mirage. His b'flys are looking good.

I did pretty good. Got 4 infinities and finally hit blur. I feel like I'm improving pretty decently. Thats about it.

your doing really good man, the only thing i could suggest is when you do mirages to keep them closer to you. but other than that , nicely done 8).

and to do pdx mirages try to do the dex without planting your foot.

Thanks for the tips AND the song conversion zeb.

Todays session was about an hour and twenty min. prolly.

I practiced what zeb told me. I filmed my sick 1 and 3 for this upcoming comp. Sick one was Blur and sick 3 was diving clipper>pdx mirage>plo
I learned diving clipper bs today WOOT. Hit it flipside for my sick 3. Only took me 3 tries to hit blur for the second time. I did a little random stringing but by the time I did that I was really tired from trying to hit sick 3 sooo... thats about it. Ty for anyone who comments on my video : ) plz tell me what you thought of editing.

Ok, so what did I do today... Hmm played an hour plus however long I played at school. So probably upwards of an hour and a half.
Highlights...

I hit my 3rd double around the world with my shoes on!!
My illusions looked good and finally hit illusion>pickup rpt
I started a consecutive mirage record and both sides are at 11 in a row.
I hit pixie op illusion today for first time.
My friend is starting to hit illusion more consistent. And thats about it.

Great video, your style looks a lot like mine, solid foundations of mirages and legovers. Your string length is pretty decent too. You can hit some stuff I can't like whirl and pixie set.

Some moves I bet you could hit:
 butterfly > pdx mirage  This is a really fun link and I know you can do it.
 symposium mirage  your mirages are really solid, start trying this one, but in MODERATION, your body has to get used to the stress it puts on your ankles, knees and quads
 clipper set ducking moves  from this you can hit weaving mirage and ducking pdx mirage which are really snazzy moves. Your toe ducking looks good, this will open up your game some more

Do more moves from flip clipper!

But yeah great video keep em coming! Hopefully you submitted tricks to this quarters comps! :P :P 8)

Hey thanks for the challenges. I can hit symp mirage bs but I've had knee problems lately so I'm stayin away from them. Yeah, I've been trying to incorporate my flip clip more lately. Yep I submited a sick 1 and 3. For sick 1 I hit blur and my sick 3 is diving clipper (flip!!)>pdx mirage>plo

Session today was very short unfortunately! :( About an hour

I got a record for consecutive mirages with 20 :D
Other than that all I did was hit crispy torque for first time.
I had to stop when my knees started killing me.

I have neglected my blog since I havnt played in forever!

Anyways yesterday I went to see a sports doctor. He basically said there has been to much pressure and my knee caps couldn't handle it so the cartilage there was rubbing or softening or something. So yeah, pretty good news. Nothin serious, all I have to do is some minimal physical therapy and I should be playin again. yay! :D
