At this point in my life, the first thing pops into my head at ANY time is Footbag. Footbag is the counterpoint of my universe. Everything that I do or even think about comes back to footbag. I thoroughly enjoy my Kung Fu lessons, but I take them as a backing for my career in Footbag. The Martial Arts training helps to strengthen my joints and it supports my body through all the training and exertions that I go through in the world of Footbag. When I do my homework, it is so that I can pass the class with a good enough mark that I’ll be able to enter the field I choose when I’m done school. However I’m only choosing a field at all so that I can pay the bills that will keep my Footbag-soaked life saturated. Footbag is a part of me.
My experience within this plane of existence certainly is different from anybody else’s. My life is unique, but the same goes for everybody’s life! Therefore, being unique is really not special anymore… I could go into detail about my daily life, but it’s not quite different ENOUGH to notice anything without splitting hairs. My life is currently the only one in Simcoe County that revolves entirely around Footbag.
Outside of myself, there is the rest of this plane of existence… Frankly, I’m quite disappointed with the Human race at this point. My perception has been steadily declining over the past while. I’ll start with religion… Religion was our first form science. “Hey what’s that big yellow thing in the sky?” Back in the day that would say “Oh… ummm, that’s gotta be… ahh… The Sun God, Pelor.” Today we say that it’s a big ball of gas burning billions of miles away. But, that conclusion was only achieved because we questioned it in the first place. Our Questioning is related to religion. Questions gave birth to religion, because the easiest answer to anything is one that you just made up on the spot! Right from the dawn of time, it’s been a human trait to lie and be lazy whenever possible. These things come naturally to us. I absolutely DO not think that people are Bad, but the teachings of the catholic church paint the Human race as being SUPERIOR to all the other races. I’m ashamed of my fellow man being so arrogant as to perceive this. We know nothing of any other species. Look at a book about animals… they talk about the mating rituals, the life span, the predators, the things that animal eats, the difference between male and female, etc. Now imagine a book like that which contained a section of all that we know about humans. Think of how much more detail we could go into! Now you can imagine how much information we’re missing about the other species. At this point, we cannot obtain any more information because of our lack of communication. All that know about other species has been learned through insufficient observation. We would not understand what we’re looking for even if we were to attempt to learn about animal religions or forms of communication. The human race has lost its need for religion. Now, all religion causes is death, pain and suffering. At one point, religion was everything. We based our laws upon it. All that we see as good or bad today is perceived that way because of religion. The whole Afterlife concept was invented to provide us with a reason to be good. I’m ashamed by the fact that humans NEED a reason to be good, but the fact remains. My perception on the afterlife is that when we die, we dream. If we spent our lives believing that we would go to heaven or hell then we will dream of whatever we though heaven would be like. If we die with a guilty conscience then we would dream of whatever we though hell would be like. If you believed in something different altogether, then you’ll dream of that. An atheist would maybe dream of blackness, or of lying in a coffin that’s buried in the dirt with worms picking their corpse apart.
Science is a MUCH more vital endeavor. Understanding the depth and complexities of the planet that we live in will lead us to saving it. The human race can still redeem itself with some work. Once our planet is cleaned up and is assured a secure state of cleanliness then we can launch out toward the stars and begin to expand the Human Empire. There’s no way that Earth is the only inhabited planet. I think meeting new races’d be pretty darn cool… teach footbag to everyone. At the same time though, our race HAS been allotted a certain and definite amount of time upon this plane of existence, and when our time has come to an end, we WILL be forced to pass the baton onto the next race. I think that the ultimate goal for the Human race should be to pass on gracefully and leave behind no mess. I’m very interested to find out what the next race will be! They’ll probably be super-cool…

theirs a lot more than just the catholic church and science.
aside from religion, there are things like the Urantia book, esoteric science, mysticism, sacred geometry, the hermetic axioms....so much stuff... and everything is connected, their are central truths.
I've always been a science guy, but the past 4-5 years I've realized it doesnt really explain anything essential. it just helps us understand and navigate this realm.
