shred music

what do all of you listen to when you shred? im looking for music to download to shred with. lee normally brings his mp3 player when the nashville crew meets up... but thats only 2 times a week and i want some music to listen to when im alone or at home.

this is what i listen to so far (to shred) but its getting old really fast:
the strokes
postal service
mario remix music
minibosses
flogging molly (even though it doesnt really fit)
and anything on my ipod

Recently I've been listening to the Rolling Stones while I play. I don't really have a big selection. I think I'm gonna download some rjd2 soon though.

I highly recommend rjd2.

so be specific!

i like electronic music, esp if it uses midi. if anybodys got some good music, you should gmail me the mp3s . [email protected]

ben, there is a more recent thread about routine music.. but thats not what i was asking.im asking for music you just shred to...

... and you didnt help at all with this topic. put what you shred to... dont tell me to use the search tool when i already have.

today i had a session and i used a little bit of mindless self indulgence. that was fun... but i was at the skate park and there are kids there... the vulgar language didnt make parents happy

I listen to whatever electronica I feel like at the time, but some favourites are Chemical Brothers, they're always good for shred music. Some of Nelly Furtado's new album pumps me up too. One of them is my favourite shred song at the moment, I'm using it for my vid I'm making this week

Other than that I just listen to random dance compilations. Breaks is always good.

Well, me for playing I like any type of music which has the beats very remarked, it's more easy to fit it to your game... For example, I play with some rap like:

Canibus - No return

Dj babu feat. Beatnuts - Duck Season

Eyedea - Even Shadows have shadows

Defari - Spell my name

Xzibit feat. Snoop Dogg - X

I also loved playing with some electro music, like:

Cirez D - Punch Drunk (original Mix)

find that older metal works, metallica, maiden, priest, sabbath. Also rob zombie, dragonforce, opeth, korn, disturbed, cradle of filth and static-x are all good for shredding too. There's other's that I can't think of for this list.

If your more into techno like stuff, trances' fat of the land cd is great to shred too. Also Crazy Frog is a good techno beat to shred too.

ok, there are only two "songs" that are any good, We Are the Champions, and the Popcorn mix. That's all I listen to from him.

I find a lot of electronic music really cheesy, I mean theirs some I like, like aphex twin, mouse on mars, boards of canada....
anyway, what about some good'ol medeski martin and wood?
