Had a shred with Dan and Brendan today, it's so good now Brendan has returned. He still has awesome crank and is playing quite good considering he hasn't practiced in the last few months. Dan hit a few good superflies and some good runs. I was working mainly on the left leg double dexes, butterfly > pdx illusion rpt. was good and came so close to datw both directions bsos, I droped on left foot in-out. Also 18 consec illusions.

Meet even more ppl at uni in random hack circles, many people would be interested in giving takraw a go, so I really need to get a good quality ball. The club idea is looking very popular, people around campus now know me as the "hacky sack guy", even people who I have never met before. I've been waiting for the right time to invite these people to the weekend sherds, just getting to know people now by playing in hack circles in a non competetive and inclusive manner. So far this has been going well as I've met 30+ new people through circle kicking recently, 5-6 of them might even get into the freestyle footbag, I guess we'll see. While in a hack circle there was a conversation about favourite tricks, people liked flying clipper and mine was eggbeater, one of the guys then asked me to do it and I hit the best eggbeater I've ever hit, it felt perfect and my knee didn't hurt at all.

So I was all pumped up for shred after uni, and was thinking of trying to beat the illusion record. Had my first hard shred since injury today, started off shit because I'd lost confidence in hitting the moves, then hit a few illusions(kicked my injured knee and droped on 20), the turning point was when I hit flip dimwalk for the first time. Things got better then, did some more eggbeaters and hit pdx egg :D So the session ended well with a flipside pdx egg, but mabye my left leg is now my strong side now since I hurt my right knee. I tried playing without the insoles for a bit, while I got better crank the shins are a bit sore now, so definately sticking with the insoles from now on.

new moves: pdx egg (flipside?)
flip dimwalk

janis. you rock. represent 8)

Why do the insoles hinder crank? I got insoles today, haven't shredded with them yet. Mine are wider than the shoe, so they push out the sweet spot for clippers, which just means I have to trim them down. Is that your problem? This is a problem even with stock insoles anyway.

The insoles only hinder crank because I haven't trimmed them down + I kept the stock insoles in as well. Playing with only the new insole (as opposed to having two) was fine. So Jamie, trim them down and strat busting out the big moves, your shins will thank you for it.

haha, true that. My shins won't thank me, they'll just stop bitching so much ;) and say stuff like "It's about bloody time! geez!"

You left your stock insoles in? Wow, that must be a snug fit! The ones I've got are thicker than the stock ones, and a snug fit as it is, I'd barely fit in with both of them in. Does this push the toe surface out? Having your foot too high in the shoe?

Trim those babies and start busting some big stuff yourself! ;)

flip double fairy

new links:
toe DLO>eggbeater>symp mirage
datw out-in bsos (in shoes)

it's 1:15am and I've almost finished editing my first vid. All I need to do now is slow-mo a couple of tricks and encode the video. So what is a good speed to slowmo a trick at? 50%? %40?

It depends on the trick and what you're fitting it into.

I bet I would have fun if I came to visit Melbourne.

Can I come over to play some day? :)

Yeah, just whatever looks good, I usually do around 50% I think. Sometimes I just make it match the beat.

I circle kicked for 3+ hours today, met 5 new people and also did a bit of freestyle, the circle kicking was epic, the daffidol day bag broke while we were kicking but we kept it going and got 4 hacks (5 people), a good send off for the bag. The uni club is looking good, there is potentially 5-10 freestylers out of the 50-60 people interested in the club. Also I have done most of the editing for my video, and got some moves on camera that nobody has done before, now I just need to find a good video encoder for the web.

did a bit of barefoot shred today, hit the best feeling datw bsos of my life also dlo>egg wwas feeling good, but not much to report on this front.

short session, my flip toe set dlo has totally gone to shit since injury, it's going to take some time to get that one back, meh. It's been good to look over all the old video footage again, there is going to be some massive stuff in the mfc shred video.

Massive session today. highlights: 2 new guys who can both hit mirages and stuff, Alex hit frankenstein and drifter swirl and Scott was doing some nice shuffle.

I had my first really satisfying shred with other people since injury which was great. Started with some op clippers, hit a few atomsmashers, quantum pincher first attempt, one decent tatw attempt but a bit of a pause between dexes so it was too slow, bsosed eggbeater and DATW. Also hit my first 3 dex, pixie DLO, also had atomic dlo off the foot.

New moves:
pixie DLO (first 3 dex w00t)
pixie eggbeater
drifter (left clipper set)
paradon rake
