I hit a sick3 today, on camera... I just cannot figure out if I can hook it up to my computer yet. I have a firewire, I just don't know which slot to put it in, or if my comp even has one. I'd really like to submit it, it's fairybutter>blur>torque. Looks decent. The one thing I noticed when I play is I hold my right arm weird, it makes me look awkard, I think thats something I'd like to get rid of in the future, to make my game look more attractive.

I also hit fog, but the tape only had like a minute left and when watching it I see my last attempt before actually hitting it. Bummer. I gave up because I got sick of rewinding, then setting up the camera, and only getting like 3 attempts in before I hit it.

edit: The connector my friend has to a computer is not USB, so sadly I cannot upload the video of my sick 3, looks like no sick3 for me, at least yet... On second thought my little sister does have a really low quality camera... but I'll worry about that next time I'm going to play.

So... I played a little today, after taking a few days off and going to a cottage on the ocean with my close buddy. These last few weeks of summer have been rough, most of my good friends have gone off to college already, theres only like 4 of us left. I leave next Saturday. I'm going to Queens University, and I'm pretty stoked. I get there and still have like a week until class or anything, so it's going to definately be an exciting week. I really want to meet up with the KFM and finally play footbag with someone else. I'm really interested to see if my form is okay with certain tricks, I think I can learn a lot fast. I'm pretty happy with my level of game but I think I can get way better way quicker with other players to help me out. I need to drill more... does it count as drilling if I think of new links and then try them until I hit them? Today I hit toewhirl>farosis>pdxmirage, and of course a bunch of guiltless strings. My guiltless game was hot today, I played great. Rest is definately good.
I like the feel of far osii, I just suck at setting out of an osis. Thats something I need to drill, my osis>set. I think I'm going to take this week easy, so next week I'm not hurt or anything when I arrive in Kingston. Maybe I should contact the KFM and see what the deal is and when they play. I guess I'm only in the solo blog for about another week.

Todays session can be described in one word:

FRUSTURATING!!!

Fucking stepping sets. I can do them, just not consecutively very well, and it was very discouraging trying steppingsameclip>steppingoppclip>rpt. I hit this probably a month and a half ago, and today when I tried it, it took me FOREVER to finally hit. I also couldn't do more then 3 consecutive steppingsameclippers. I would have thought that for the length of time I've been stepping it would be so much easier. I still cannot do more ripwalks than 3, and I only hit that starting with strong side. Man, I must have improper form or something, people make ripwalk X10 seem like its cake. I want to be able to do that SO badly. There were so many times today where I was like screw this, I'll just be a shuffle player. But I want to be well rounded, grrr. It just sucks, it really took my confidence down not meeting my expectations like I wanted to. I guess this is why I hate drilling, it reminds me of how bad I am.

I have sad news for all the readers of this blog....

Jake is now no longer a solo shredder!!!!

He has moved to Kingston and soon he will be a fully fledged memeber of the Kingston Footbag Militia!

Sorry to steal him from you, maybe we will both start posting in the KFM blog instead.

One less lonely shredder!

Hey guys! Today was a great session :D I hit smear and ducking mirage. Here they are (smear 3rd try). I only have Windows movie maker so I can't really edit my vids well, sorry. :? These clips are really short though. I need a real video camera and some editing software. :) Any tips on technique would help a lot.

Did you miss me?

After watching the new Ryan video from Ellis, I decided to lace up the lavers. I have been thinking about this for awhile and my girlfriend has mentioned I never footbag anymore. . . so I figured I should start up again. Lately I've been spending alot of time playing Nintendo DS and going to visit my girl.

Anyways, onto the session (if you can call it that):

butterfly>whirl>rpt
pheonix footed
pixie whirl
dimwalk
a few fairy sets (nothing out of them though)
everything feels pretty rusty, but over all I'm happy with where I'm at. I want to get back into playing regularly, but I just don't have enough time to do all I want to do. It doesn't help that I'm trying to move outta my mom's house, planning to propose to my girlfriend and keeping up with my volunteer ministry work. The real time killer is my DS. I love playing games and doing artwork on THAS.

That's enough rambling for me. But, I'm back. kinda.
