Should be. I have a class at 2:30, but I should be playing at 12:30 if I'm up to it.

The knee felt better already today, for those who care I tweaked it pulling my barrage too much. I tried some tentative whirl motions and it didn't feel too finicky. I'm going to give it the weekend though, I think.

Thanks Mike! I think I'll be sitting out this weekend, but I still have the entire school year to play.

Speaking of which, I know Adam does, and I also, want to organize a weekly scheduled get-together. Andrew and I briefly brought up the possibility of playing at the YMCA at Bayview & Sheppard, right close to me. Camille, do you know if Andrew knows details? I've never even been to a YMCA. So, what time is one that works for everyone most weeks? Tuesday nights are probably best for me, but are by no means the only time I can play, I just have to do some non-footbag shuffle.

One last thing. It seems like even with my van, spaces are becoming very tight. The last two people on the list are Vida and Andrew, and I'd like to know if either is seriously planning on coming so we can get this ironed out. If both still want to come, we're either going to have to do somewhat of a squish job in the van, rent another van, or have a duel to the death for the spot....

Also, logistically, we need to figure out who's riding with whom. Start letting us know where you live or where you can be picked up on the Friday!

I also call a window seat in the van!!!! :P

Edit: I can be picked up anywhere on the Subway line (Josh - Bayview station?)

Yes, Josh = Bayview Station on the Sheppard Line.

It would be nice if for Kickass we could all meet here, but I am definitely willing to make some pickups as well!

Hey Josh, I call the back right window seat of your van. :P I can definitely come to your place on the Friday. I know the area well. Andrew lives REALLY close to there too. Plus we all have Fridays off, so if leaving early is a possibility, let's do it.

The YMCA isn't a good idea. Sorry to be so blunt, but I have been there and it's $10 each visit. Fuck that.

We can find a million free places to play. I am going to Ryerson now and pretty much every building is shred worthy. And it's right at Yonge & Dundas. I have classes Monday- Wednesday; finish at 4 on Mondays and at 6 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a 3 hour break on Wednesdays (12-3).

So I can play any of those days after school, or during that Wednesday break if anyone wants to head downtown. :) I'm looking to get a job for my days off, but until then, I'm free those days to play too.

Today is a beautiful day. Does anyone want to shred during the day?

There is a community centre by my house. Aren't those free? I mean, it's not like we'll be using the pool or hockey rink. We need to find good, reliable indoor spots for winter!

I like the idea of a weekday session, but my work hours make it tricky for me. I'd hate to know that there was a regular session nearby that I could never make it to!!! I propose Sunday as the dedicated shred day.

Josh’s Van

3) Camille
4) Mike
5) Greenwood
6) Erik
7) Marita

Dan’s Car

1) Dan
2) Johnny
3) Taishi

If Andrew decides to come, we're gonna squeeze him into the Van. He can sit on Erik's lap.

I want to design Canada jerseys for sure! I dont' feel that I should just go ahead and make them though. I feel that Canadian players have to, I dunno, grant me the power to make a shirt that represents them, or something.

Maybe I'll make a thread aimed at Canadian players, and see what they think and want in a jersey.

Yeah, I've already said this; I think you should definitely start a discussion with all of the Canadians about the jerseys. I am all for it, but you have to have a design that everyone is happy with.

And... Dan's car can handle another person in the back, but he wants to only take 4. It is kinda small.

But Josh's van actually seats 8. So technically, there is room for Andrew to squeeze in if need be. We just need the extra space for stuff. If he comes we're going to try to cram some of our stuff into Dan's car. I'm sure a big pile of bags or whatever won't mind being crammed into the back as much as big Andrew will be. :P

Yeah, another reason for not having 5 people in my car is that it is an official shitbox, and I don't really feel like trying to take it long distance with a full load, because something is bound to blow up that way. Note to the people that're riding in my car, pack semi-lightly. I have a big sound sub, and I'd prefer not to take it out because it's a major hassle. Shouldn't be a problem though, 4 of us got to Montreal with enough space for all the stuff.

Right on. I'm not sure how much stuff anyone could be bringing, really... its only one weekend and its not like we need tents or coolers or anything. If the accommodations are in a hotel we won't even have to bring towels. Also, clothes and gear will likely stay pretty light since it probably won't be cold that weekend... I hope...

I'll be packing pretty lightly. :P

Yeah, we'll all fit no problem. We maybe should bring one cooler for snacks in the van though.

I was hanging out at Yonge and Dundas last night, after my movie let out, and That place it bright! We should have night sessions there. Its a big open concrete space with lots of action going on (mostly prostitues and roaming gangs though). I think it would be fun, but there would have to be a few of us incase we run into trouble and have to throw shit down.

Can anybody play today or tomorrow?

Hmmm. Today, maybe. Tomorrow, maybe.

I had planned on playing today; it really all depends on what time I get my stuff around here done. I have to be at a pub downtown around 10 or 11 tonight, so perhaps I'll come down early and we can shred it up.

Yonge and Dundas may look bright at night, but I've played there many nights (we played there at least once a week last summer and our sessions usually dragged out into the night), and to play without frustration you have to find a really bright spot like under the parking garage entrance light. Problem then: people are walking through the circle and giving you dirty looks.

And yes, there are a LOT of sketchbags around there every night...

So, I think the area is best before dark... we can still try it a few times, but it isn't really optimal. As for tonight, I hope it won't rain because we might need to find a sheltered spot... Nathan Phillips Square is actually quite nice at night. There are lights under the ramps that surround it. I've played there at night without getting kicked out, but as always, at all places, it's a crapshoot.

As for tomorrow, I will be working at Queen's Park from 10-2, and I may be able to play there after if you're interested... I say "may" because I may also try to mission it to the Reptile Expo in Mississauga before it closes at 4...

At this point, everything's up in the air... haha. Sorry. We'll see, and I'll call you as soon as I know.
