You can get them on Ebay for $60 starting price. Well, had the first session in them yesterday. I really like em. They played especially well for new shoes. Clippers were nice, and the toes seemed fine too.
Also, they're a piece of cake to mod compared to lavers. You just do the standard laver mod, and then there's a lot of removal of this foam stuff that's stuck to the canvas. My method was pulling most of it off with my fingers, and then taking a teaspoon and vigorously scraping around the canvas to remove the rest.
There's a LOT of padding around the inside of the shoe. One place in particular is the tonge. So I cut that open from underneath, and in that spot there's just an easy to remove padded layer, and you can leave the really thin padding under that to make it just like la laver tongue. Around the heal of the shoe is more padding. On lavers that part is just leather. I kinda prefer the leather in that area, so I may remove some especially in the brocka area of the shoe.
Anyway, I won't give a full write-up on the performance until they are fully broken in. So probably a month or two from now given my current playing schedule (sparse). Here's a link from another player that got a pair recently too:
