henry, you rock my man but...

you're going to nag people to stop discussing their own business (all of which pertains to the comp) and demand (and then spam) for people to rate the video (you)? bad enough, but you didnt even have the patience or decency to rate everyone in the comp, you stop at basically yourself.

come on dude, thats real lame

---------------

i might post a ranking eventually but im going to watch the vids a couple more times, and im not going to leave people out. im already intimidated by the tremendous level of shred that presented itself in these comps 8O. like i said before, props to EVERYONE. 8)

Zac there's nothing wrong with your rankings :).
HenryG wrote:Wow people. this thread isnt for idle chatter. Put up some rankings already!
Actually Henry, the 'idle chatter' you're talking about is called feedback, and I sepcifically asked for people to give it - why don't you give some?
The judges will give their rankings when they are ready, they have to think very hard about being fair to everyone.

I guess everyone has seen this already since I just got up about 12hours after it uploaded:

Open Sick Three is now online :)

Probably due to the growing popularity of modified and new people posting on it. I may take a stab at ranking tomorrow. Man I just gotta say watching Anz hit that combo was insane, and Kevin's combo was just ludicrous even if it was in socks. Makes me wanna skool eggbeaters real bad...

but...I'm sorry bout the criticism but I thing that Byrin Wylie's swiveling stuff was kinda 'the', I think he touches the bag with the symp swirling or maybe I'm wrong, maybe he just does it too fast.

The system isn't perfcet, but it helps judges.

i dunno if i can write but...

The system has been created by Kamil Wysocki (Kierpca) and the other guys bring on some of their ideas.

The system judge sick 3 in four elements: Cleanless, the difficulty of tricks, the difficulty of links, variety. and a sick gets points from these elements. After that i count final rate (Points of cleanless* 0,15 + Points of the difficulty of tricks*0,35 = the difficulty of links + variety*0,15)

For example:

Kevin Regamy:

Symp atomic DLO - pixie symp eggbeater - pixie ducking symp eggbeater

Cleanless: Usually most of people sicks get 4 points(done correct, the dexes are clean, the end is controlled)
4 points

Hardless of tricks: Fronstide predator is 6 adder so 6 points, pixie symposium eggbeater is hard five it gets 6 points too (normal five like phoenix gets 5 points). pixie ducking symp egbbeater is hard six so 7 points.
6+6+7 = 19 points

Hardless of links Frontside Predator > pixie symp eggbeater - one point because there is dex in set after the trick (dlo > pixie). pixie symp eggbeater > pixie ducking symp eggbeater - also one point (eggbeater > pixie)
2 points

variety When the two same dexes, or pdx are done at the same side the system doesn't count the 2nd one as a point.

symp (1) atomic (1) xdex(1) dlo (2) - pixie (1) symp (1) eggbeater (2) - pixie (0) ducking (1) symp (0) eggbeater (0)

19*0,35+4*0,15+2*0,35+10*0,15 = 6,65 + 1,5 +0,6 + 0,7 = 9,45 points !

hah! No worries...

...except it's still wrong! :D

It's my own fault for not including my full name with my submission to Nic. But still, oh man, my name's been spelled wrong my entire life. :D

Woah! Thank's for posting that Kamil! It could well aid the judges in their decisions :)

The only thing I can say is wrong with it, is it doesn't take into account 'coolness', like mitko's sick3 was maybe not as high adds as the others, but pogo pdx mirage > frontside toe blur > ss symp whirl is MEGA stylie! The links are super cool, the combo has a crazy look to it and it was obviously well thought out... that's gotta count for something ;)
