some pincher moves

Post by janis »

http://fizzied.phasing.org/session%40home-Janis.wmv

it all started with this comment in the millers tail thread:
brinard wrote:theres gonna be so many tails/tales by this time next year.

cloud stalls are tough!

janis should do a pincher tail.
so I got it on video and then it ended up being the first session I've gone hard since injury.

nice focus. you can do lots of pincher/ing variations.

can you tone the pinchers down and still play that well? like with more regular moves? im not asking you to do it, just wondering how the rest of your game is.

props
good vid.

(and props on pinchbeater!)

Awesome stuff, J, and interesting and different. Its always good to see something different.

( Makes me wish I were going to Australia soon. Alas, its so much money. I wish I at least lived on the left coast of the US, 'cause then Aus and Japan and NZ would be a little closer. What are you people even doing all the way the hell on the other side of the planet, damn it? )

Inspiring to me.

I'm gonna go kick right now.

Thanks for posting this.

Interesting that you mention this, I did way more pincher moves for the video than I do when shredding, because I thought people would be interested to see some uncommon moves. FYI my clipper 2 clipper game is crappy(especially since injury) and my toe 2 toe was quite solid but I'm only just getting back some confidence now in the double dexes. Anyway, there will be more "regular shred" in the MFC winter shred sessions video, that I'm currently working on.

Wow. Sorry about telling you to do normal moves and stuff in the Melbourne blog ( ? )

I loved this video. it actually made me go back outside and shred more. The only think i thought was weird is that a lot of your pinchers went to cloud stalls when you unpinched them

COOL! Experimental shred very exciting to watching :D

Pinching-spinning set pincher was dopetastic yo! Awesome move! I liked that one the most. Props on pinchbeater too.

One more thing, please don't be offended but I was suprised to find out you were a dude. I figured "Janis" was just an Australian version of "Janice" and until I watched that video, yeah... I thought you were a girl. LOL.

Lol yeah I thought the exact same thing before I met Janis at Aussie nationals and realised how manly he really is! It's actually pronouced "Yanis" I think ;).

Awesome video dude, I haven't had a chance to watch all of it yet but props for pushing the limit with an underrated move!

I watched this video to finally find out if you were a guy or girl. From your responses on here and in the chatroom, you seemed like a guy, but you were Janis... Now I know.

Anyways. That was pretty sweet...and different. I liked the pincher set paradox mirage (I did see that, right?) and the pinchbeater and the slam into the wall.

I still think you're a girl...haha jk man great stuff. The pinching ducking is amazing!! Actually I really wonder WHY anyone would think you're a girl, I never did.

Anyway, I always know who all the shreditas are on here. Moxie, Peng, Pips, Verena, Vida, Lyse, Splint, etc.

Good work Janis on all the pincher moves. I also like it that you did heel stalls too. Be sure to try ducking pincher, I am sure it will be easy for you.

Thanks for the video.
