Shoes Fitting

Well since this subject has something to do with equipment i believe this thread would go here.

Anyway, i was just wondering how crucial it is for shoes to fit snug to be able to do tricks consistently.

I've had my lavers for a while now but they have always been too big. I assume it is because the shoes i wore before lavers had padding which made them fit better even with larger sizes. I could easily go down half a size, maybe even a full size probably. Basically they move around quite a bit on my feet.

They aren't so lose that they fall off easily when i move my leg around even though that has happened. My main issue is with toe tricks and sets. My toes are around the middle of the mesh part of the shoe. Is this a bad thing and would smaller sized shoes help?

Yes, smaller shoes help.

I played in big(ger) lavers a couple days ago, and I felt like I couldn't do anything. When I put my other lavers on, I could hit my better stuff.

yeah id say buy a new pair of smaller ones. they'd help out a lot. they should fit like a glove, not too big, not too small. so yeah go buy more but dont necessarily throw the old ones out though, either. i think they sell lavers at foot locker, unless im mistaken, so id go there and try a pair on that fits. but thats just my opinion

Shoe fit is very important!!

In many cases a shoe that is too large results in an unflat toe area when you pull up on your toes to stall.

I aim for my toes to be flush with the end of the shoe when fully broken in.

I buy shoes that are a half size too small and thoroughly break them in to the shape of my foot. When they are in ultimate shred mode they've stretched out to fit my foot like a second skin.

I think shoe fit plays a huge role in consistency, if the shoe can move around then it will not always aim the bag in the same place when you set it. It just makes sense!

i have this problem too. im hoping that a shoe that fits would help my pixie/fairy consistency.

well my birthdays in one month and ive been planning to get lavers anyway so well see then

can tell ya a story man. i started at 9,5 cuz i thought omg adidas are so lathy and i have wide feet. what a mistake. i bought 9 soon and was happy for a while. but then i thought "could be a little smaller maybe"... and ended up with 8.5. its the perfect size for me! i do not have the feeling of "there is too much on the toes". dexes got more fast in them. try smaller ones where you dont hit the front but are close to.

This is twisted...i stuffed a sock behind each of my heels to make my shoes fit better. It feels wierd but results don't lie...

I tried a couple pixies...and they set perty straight. I hit PLO, magellan, smear, parkwalk, and dimwalk (which normally gives me problems), all either first try or within a max of 3 tries. To tell you the truth i normally have problems with all my pixie tricks because i never set very well, or not consistently.

I know that many people can hit those tricks in their sleep so its not that impressive, but still...woohoo.

I even hit ripwalk on my bad side for the first time ever! That felt pretty good. Not sure why because i didn't do anything to the inside of my shoe. Maybe just having them fit really tight makes it better.

I'm off to go practice more. Was just excited to share the news.

my first two pairs of lavers were sz. 11. my next two were 10.5. my newest pair is 10. each pair has served me better than the previous.

im gunna have a problem soon because i wear size 15's and my feet are still growing, and im wearing size 14 lavers, which im destined to outgrow some day.... ah well, whatever....
