That's awesome Kamil! Thanks for typing that up, it's really cool to see my entry analized like that :)

I'm just going to post the top 3 of the Novice sick 1 and 3

Sick 1:
First Matt Coffman : Pdx Flail
Phat trick man! I've never seen that hit before!

Second Ron Illinois : Blur
Phat.

Thrid Zac Miley : Dimwalk
Nice

Sick 3:
First Aleksei Zikin : Torque>Infinity>Torque
Everything looked very clean! Nice job!

Second Julien Romiti : Tapdown>Ducking Clipper>Dyno
Nice links dude.

Thrid Axel Tai : Butterfly>PDX Mirage>Symp Mirage

I have to get this off my chest right now.... I hate toe ducking diving anything, it just doesn't seem like it's clean to me (Sorry Rory!) Clipper ducking stuff looks cool and looks cleaner IMO.

Chatter that isn't allowed in the "other" thread

Post by Zac Miley »

Since some people seem to be getting mad about the non-rankings posts in the competition thread, I started this topic.

Delete it if you want, I just didn't want to make anyone mad. :P

I'll start things off:

I'm surprised how high both people who ranked me ranked me (5th and 3rd). Thanks guys!

I have merged your other topic into this one, it's cool if all feedback about the competitions can go in this thread, because later if people want to read back it's all in once place, and having one massive thread makes my ego bigger ;) -Nic

Clipper ducking is more clean?

That makes no sense dude, ducking will be clean if it is executed correctly. That's it. The setting surface makes absolutely no difference.

In my opinion, the only time "correct" ducking can look a little off is when it's immediately followed by a spin. ie: spinning ducking spinning osis.

Maybe clean was the wrong word....... Maybe clipper has more style to it? I just hate the way it looks.

I think Toe DUcking or Diving Rocks when they are clean and I think they can look clean ...

And if you talk about style Look some Alpine Magelan (pixie diving Leg over)
You can link some good stuff only in ducking, diving set toe

Alpine magelan > Pheonix is cool :D

Ok...... one last time for corrections! Unless you can make toe ducking look good (Erik Chan and Rory Dawson) it is just really ulgy.

So what your saying is...if Anz did a toe set ducking swirling whirl no matter what it would be ugly?

And if you don't like ducking toe sets. Then wouldn't a phoenix make the ugly list? After all it's a toe set ducking move right?

Me personnelly I think all footbag moves are hot. If I could do more than hit a ducking clipper or ducking toe 2 toe I'd do it.

Now that I think about it, I have a nice vid of me hitting a ducking clipper, and unless I do better that's whats going to the 4th quarter.

Edit: Sorry Kyle, I don't mean this as harsh as it sounds. More of a large question to pick your brain. (I had a drink or two when I posted this, so sensitivity was out the window) Later Dude!

setman: Can you break down my novice sick 3? I know it's not as good as most but I'm interested in seeing how it goes.

Cool setman your awesome!!

As for the fam-dam-ly...

I'd say we do pretty good, we impress those who don't know. To others that do we're all-starters or super novice :)
I can hit some stuff but mostly trying to perfect 2 adds. I've tried some 3's and hit a few, but in no way am I ready to toss 3's in a run. Chris Miller, Peter Irish, John MaHood, David Clevins, Sunil Juni, Rob Creel, and quite a few more people that were at the 2006 East Coast Champs can vouch that we're beginners, but I'll bet that all of them (if they could see me now!) would say there was a vast improvment in our game since then (june). Yall should be able to see that from the online comps. In may I put in an ATW (the best trick I can do) and now I can do alot more! I just don't have any good vids of me hitting any sick 3's without atw's. But funny thing.. I can hit them without a camera on me. I think that because I don't want to send in a sick 3 (or 1) without hitting it remotely clean. So I try to hard :( But I know I'll get something good by the 4th q. Later!!

Ha Ha, thats cool dude! I keep talking to him and telling him how good he can be, and he's like "when I'm 7 I'm going to be great". But I don't think he understands how much work he's got to do. I DL'd a vid of vasek when he was 11 (or 12 maybe?) and I showed it to him and told him how he could do that one day. He gets pumped but needs a lot of pratice. I don't think he'll be able to put in a "bigger" trick just yet, but we'll see.

I don't believe Vasek started until he was 13.

Haha, that made me laugh. It's just a very, very sweaty bandana.
