Rochester, New York Footblog
I might take a bus ride to Rochester on Thursday night. If I can crash at someone's place by then, I guess I can hitch a ride with someone to KICKASS. I will pay my share for gas and such, because stitching can't get me out of every problem that i come across
Hope to see you guys then. I'm so stoked!@

Hey guys - long time no post. Just had to take a break for the summer but modified is back on my agenda. Hey Chris is the Greg your playing with MY Greg? From Syracuse? If so that's awesome. We played a LOT this summer and he was quite sad to hear that I was going away for a whole year abroad. He made a lot of progress. It was a lot of fun. Anyway best of luck with the jams coming up. I look forward to hearing all the posts about it. Trying to set something up here too. I've got a Polish kid who is very addless but shows a lot of potential (he hit dimwalk two days ago second try and can double dex better than mirage. . very strange). When the UCC students come back to school later this month I'll shred a few times on campus and see if I can get signatures for a club. Heh sorry to take up so much space on your blog guys. Later.

Nope Pat, different Greg. He's another Geneseo student who has been to a couple RFA sessions and knows Josh and Will Digges. I haven't been able to kick with him at all since last spring.
I need to get to KICKASS somehow. Class ends at 3:30 and I can make it to the Henrietta/Marketplace/RIT by bus at 4:30. If that's not too late, I can catch a ride with you Matt. The only other option for me would be to skip that last class and be ready to leave Geneseo at 1:30. But there's still no bus up to Rochester until later that afternoon.
How many others are going to KICKASS? Enough to fit in one car? I'll find out who else in Rochester is coming when I see you guys on sunday.

So yah finally a post in the blog, almost forgot how to do this stuff.
The last couple sessions with Paul/the RFA have been pretty good. Hit a lot of decent strings at the RFA session, along with alpine smog midstring, and some cool bsos stuff.
The last few sessions with paul resulted in flip blurry drifter, flip sumo first try, flip matador 5 out 5 tries, a new fearless record, new ripwalk record, and some other random stuff that I can't remember. I will start posting more often in here hopefully.
Records:
ripwalk x35
darkwalk > bs blur > phoenix > blurry whirl > handcatch. should have went for more I had good control after the blurry whirl.. but was happy to break my record..
sumo > darkwalk > bs blur > phoenix > blurry drop .. i just need to work on a few links and my fearless is going to be much better.

Dear RFA,
I updated the RFA web site with a new style. Check it out and let me know what you think. Comments and suggestions are welcomed.

I purchased my bus tickets just now, and the best I could do for a stress-free ride is to depart from NYC at 8:45 am and be at Rochester at around 4:05pm, on the 29th. Is that alright? I can try to get a bus ride on the 28th, late night, but I doubt anyone would want to pick me up early in the morning just to crash for a few hours.
Matt, please PM me about the time you plan on going to Kingston. I think I'll be carpooling with you on this trip. Stoked!
I'll be missing two classes for Kickass, but I think it'll be worth it.
I'll see you all there!

So it looks like everyone in the RFA is going, plus Waylon. AWESOME. I don't even remember the last time the five of us all went to an event. We obviously need two vehicles, and Aric might be taking his truck with his girlfriend. I'm all about X-treme carpooling in any case. Money is definitely an issue with the hotel rooms too. It's 165 a night, and Josh, Will, and The Talon are interested in splitting one with us if possible. That'd be 9 or 10 people total for a room or two. I'm in favor of total crammage, although it might not be possible.
thats all. gotta run.

I have a car now, so i can take 3 other people with me, but if i don't have to take my car i'd rather not. Can't wait to get there!!!
Great session today. Quite a bit of new stuff, with a couple decent strings. My flip nuke has been working really well lately, but my strong nuke has gone to shit.. Also my atomic on both sides has been kind of crappy, but i have regained my quantum, its been really weird. I did manage to hit all of rubberman today though, which i haven't done in quite a while.
Highlights:
phoenix > ripped warrior
frenzy > smoke
frantic ss butter > blur (rpt)
blubberman (finally! after at least a year of dropping the last trick, i finished it)
pyro osis, spinning osis and inspinning osis in the same string

I'm going and driving and have room for 3 passengers in my car. I will be leaving Rochester sometime after 5 PM Friday and returning to Rochester Sunday night. I am happy to reserve a room so long as I get to claim some bed space.

I'll definitely have money to spare for hotel floor space. Just sacrifice a pillow for me, if you can.
edit: I'm thinking about refunding my bus ticket for a train ticket. The price for a round trip train ticket looks to be *half* of the price I paid for my bus tickets! Thanks Matt!
If I can make it, It looks like I can depart from NYC at 7:15 am to 2:00 pm, right on friday. We'll see!

I wouldn't mind hopin' in on some floor space or even bed space at the Rest Inn. Tom said we have to book the room by the 24th of september to get the deal. We just need to mnetion footbag for the discount at $75 a night for two double beds. i may have enough room to use my card. who wants in?
