...and will it ever be flat? i think this is a question many players (esp. beginners) have. i was really successful compared to when i started, but its still not flat. then i see vaseks or honzas crank which are ye, totally parallel to the ground and think: "comon they just gotta hold the foot underneath and the bag lands". maybe im wrong, but they are able to catch it very close to the ground, so the windows for stepping get big. u learn much more fast and tricks get easier imo, besides the endurance, muscle memory and a big willing, thats also important, of course. but crank is key, u agree? if not given naturally, is it possible to get it flat, i mean real flat just like vaseks by training? do i need the leg-strength to pull it up or the flexability by streching? both?
many questions, we got a physiotherapist here? lol
how much a crank matters...
Jorden Moir and Dave Clavens don't have a flat crank and they are both insane. Does it help? Yes. Is it required? No.
You can make your crank better, but only to point. Everybody's body has a limit to how far their joints can bend.
You'll probably have to work harder with less crank, but that's life. You have to make the best with what you've got.
