Ok.

Kickass update / Information request.

For those of you who have not confirmed that you are riding in our carpool, I need to hear from you. I guess that's Andrew and Vida especially. Jorden recently PM'd me to see if there is extra space. Hell, I'd give up MY seat for him, but I'm driving!

If Vida and / or Andrew decide not to come, we can make room for Jorden, but we have to do it fast!

Kickass Question.....

Anyone want to split on the WAY cheaper motels around town? Saves everyone in the room 10 bucks a night.......

I'm going to be pretty poor around this time, and would like to keep as much money for partying and good food as possible.

Yeah! I was totally concerned about the same thing! I am soooo broke with no job (if anyone has any decent leads...) I totally can't afford to go if I have to pay $27 a night just to SLEEP, nevermind food and stuff. I was really worried about this and didn't know what to do; I want to go to KICKASS. That's also why I haven't confirmed with anybody about actually getting there

Hey guys,

We went to sort things out with the Holiday Inn today and found out the Holiday Inn is completely booked up for that weekend except for King-sized rooms starting at $209 a night. I doubt anyone wants to get in on that.

For those who haven't booked yet:

Motels are a better bet and the Rest Inn is a cheap one that is relatively close to the event location. It would be about a $10 cab ride if people want to drink in the evening and can't drive to get back to the motel, which makes it $2.50 each person if you fill a cab. Or get a designated driver. Their phone number is (613)546-6616.

They gave us a deal of $75 a night for two double beds. Mention 'footbag' to get the discount.

That makes it about $18 a night for 4 people to stay in a room on beds, or for the truly thrifty, you guys can arrange floor space or something to cut costs as long as you don't mention it to the people at the front desk.

You have to book by Sept. 24th to get the deal!

The rooms are so cheap that you really don't neeeed to smush in 9000 people to afford it. But I mean, you can if you want.

You know, if it happens that we need it I can take care of getting another room. I have a credit card so if people let me know that it's necessary I'll go ahead and book another one.

If I do, that'll open up a space with Mike as well, so maybe someone wants to be in line in case I give up my spot?

Andrew isn't coming. Unfortunately, Kickass starts on the same day as Toronto's Capture the Flag. SO FUCKING WEAK! I really wanted to do the capture the flag thing, it's crazy. I bet if Tom knew about it before he totally would've tried to come and have Kickass a different weekend. He seems like the kinda person to love this sort of thing.

Anyway, so that's why Andrew isn't coming, he and our friends are all doing Capture the Flag.

So........ I am good to sleep wherever with whoever. As long as I get half of a bed, I'm good.

I can go ahead and reserve more rooms for all of us if we want. Sorry, I was just looking out for #1. I'm not sure about packing extra people in the rooms though. I've tried to pull fast ones by hotels before and always got burned. Maybe one or to extra people would work, but they're gonna catch on if we push our luck.

Hey, just here to thank Josh and his brother for the shred at York U on Sunday. It's too bad more of you couldn't make it, but another time hopefully. Learned a lot of new concepts that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Progressing a lot on both of the drills I was taught, and hit a couple more ducking butterflies yesterday and today as well! Hope to get schooled again soon!

Updates!

Vida has confirmed with me that she is coming along to Kickass.
Here's the situation: With Vida confirmed coming and Camille's Andrew (don't know his last name) confirmed NOT coming, that means we have 4 in Skippy's car and 7 in my van, which is good.
But Jorden has messaged me recently about a ride. I'd like to for us to give him one if we can! It would mean squeezing that extra person in the van, which would make for a comfy-close ride, but with all the more good company!

And if you think about it, if I'm taking 8 people the logistics change a little... perhaps with Jorden being west (Right???), and Vida being East, we could switch their drivers. Anyway, just keep me updated!

Yeah -- thanks so much! I totally wouldn't be able to go if it weren't for you! Marita isn't coming, too, so there is that extra seat.

I want to play tomorrow (Thursday). I'm pretty busy today. Can we play earlier in the afternoon? I need light to do spinning tricks @______@
