I agree about the shreddable Right Out Of The Box thinger...
The last few bags I've played with/owned that were shreddable ROOTB have died after a few sessions. Plus there is no countless hours of finger roling fun, and playing with it when it just WON'T stall to improve your form.
The money bag you sent me is getting SUPER choice, keep up the good work.

Umm... Let's see... I remember waking up just a bit to see Chris Miller leave the room, and I found that he took his stuff out. Ben Roscoe and Taishi had left some minutes thereafter to his mom's room and whatever. Chris Balch was still sleeping. I woke up and made some noise when I was changing into warmer pants and all, but I doubt he noticed. Went to the recreational area to find Caleb and Jake talking to HooD at the hot tub. That's HooD, loving his hot water baths and all.
I forgot what happened later, but I met up with Ryan Thomas, Brad Nelson, and Ian Brill to have breakfast. Jake Milofsky was there too. We had a pretty sweet meal and such, full of high calories and whatever. Caleb and Dave Clavens showed up a little later. We had fun joking around and Ian and I were having some fun with origami. For the amount of time I've put into stitching these past months, I kind of forgotten all of my origami tricks, which was gay. I couldn't even remember how to make a crane. Bummer. At leat Brad made a UFO-football-thing that I tried to throw at Caleb and the Cleaver, but it hit the fat waitress serving our food instead. Attempt #2 only lead to Ryan wearing the thing like he was the pope. Dope.
After breakfast, I had the Cleaver try on the G-units I had brought him. He told me they were a bit too tight on him, and the shoes were pretty broken in already. They were money on my feet, so this just means that Wayway has a pair of super awesome black/blue striped G-units to wear. I know it's stupid, but what an honor to wear a pair of rare shoes like these. And yes, I'm modding them (my current G6s are just one size too big).
We then drove to the event site, which was still pretty quiet. The weather was beautiful, just like how I remembered it one year ago. Nathan Pipenburg showed up a few minutes later and we were astounded by his Amaretto suede bags (super sweet honey insta-break-in bags!). I continued modding HooD's G-units, but at a faster pace seeing that I now know what the heck I was doing. Caleb and Cleaver were there modding Caleb's shoes, and Matt Cross was there to stitch his #38 I think. Some good pictures were taken during this modding session, especially one with me and Matt doing a weird picture pose with our stitching projects. Everyone else showed up within an hour or two and there was much shred. Amazing footbag freestyle routines came from Taishi and Ben Roscoe. Benny had a really feel-good routine as always. Tuan Vu (Love Potion #9!!!) and Greg Nielson did some amazing routines as always. Scott Davidson did a routine with the Ironman song, and that alone brought back a lot of memories from last year's Funtastiks. Cleaver did a routine that was super fun to watch, and I hope it gets online ASAP. Gordon Scott Bevier with a lot of style as always. All in all, it was a good day for footbag.
When everything ended, I had to say a lot of goodbyes. It was hard and short-lived, but it was very gratifying. I gave a lot of bear hugs to Chris Dean, Paul Agostinelli, and Matt Cross. I made proper goodbyes to Ben Roscoe and Taishi. Personally, I think those were the two people I missed the most, since we spent the most time with each other and shared floor space. In fact, parting felt bittersweet, but there is Kickass 2 to come up, and you know that I'm not going to miss it.
Went back to the hotel to relax for a bit. Had dinner with the Balch family and had a fun time talking and eating. I wanted to eat a chicken pot pie, as did Mr. Balch, but there was only one so I gave it to him. I had a basic chicken dinner which was super delish in any case. Back at the hotel, Chris Miller said goodbye because he didn't want to deal with the Labor Day traffic and all. Greg Nielson was outside of the hotel's ballroom to see an Indian wedding taking place, and the music was PUMPIN'. There was also a pretty woman dancing exotically. Super sweet. I went to the recreational area to find some people there. Benny was there with Drew and *guy's name I keep forgetting* eating some fresh mozzerella and yummy bread-like thing. Chocolate too. Benny wanted to mod his Twill Lavers, and I volunteered to mod them for him. It was super easy, and I was about finished with modding HooD's shoes. I even fixed a few minor rips that was on his toe-box and such. He offerred me a can of beer for the job as thanks. It was pretty sweet.
The Hall of Fame session was super cool. One of the pics had Jon Nagela with fuzzy hair with Scott Davidson, and that was pretty fun imo. Alot of good toasts and roasts (I luv ya Steve Goldberg!) were made. Ted Fritsch's toast was especially touching. With things all said and done, Jon, Chris, Jeff and I went out to smoke some jay. Jon helped a woman take a praying mantis out of her car.
I went back into the recreational area to find that there was a hack circle happening there with one of those light blinking crocheted bags they were selling at the Funtastik's shop. I tried to do some kicks because it was all HACK in a hack circle. I then went to pick up my stuff for HooD's shoe modding when I saw Adrian sitting there with Drew Martin. That's a sneaky surprise because I didn't see her all weekend. Weird. We got reacquainted and talked a bunch. Feeling super buzzed, I took my stuff and went to the conference room to see some shredders there, and I continued with my shoe modding. I finished until midnight, and gave them to HooD, and he looked pretty damn pleased. He was too drunk to test them, but whatever. I grabbed a few beers and continued my buzz. It was around 2:30 am that I went and collapsed to a new and available bed.

Woke up pretty early and felt really sore. Took a really hot shower and put on some clothes. Walked around for a bit, especially to the courtyard which I hadn't gone for the whole weekend surprisingly. It was beautiful, and with the morning sun it was pretty sweet. I went back to the room and Chris Balch was awake and such. We packed up all of our stuff and went next door to see how the Mr. and Mrs. Balch were doing. I felt embarassed because I was carrying a package of beer in my hands in front of them. In the end, I had to dispose of the beer in order to ride in the car, which was reasonable (sorry footbaggers! It was Bud Light, anyway). Me and Chris reached the site to watch some net, and I met up with Josh Penney and such. Lo and behold, Josh Bizzle Benham showed up, which was super cool. We talked a bunch, and I showed him some bags I made. He gave me a super idea about a bag, that I should make green bag with a yellow "S" that was connected on a bronze/gold chain. BALLAZ!
The rest of the footbaggers showed up. Dave Clavens was warming up, and Chris O'baras joined in on him. It's amazing how he and Jeff Richards got good so quickly. I should take up more time in shredding as well. I took some Motrin to ease my soreness and watched. More footbaggers were growing at the event, so around 1-2 pm I took off my pants, put on my Goonitz, and started my first shred of the weekend! It wasn't amazing, but I hit legbeater super clean in one circle I think. I still had some shred in me. I went to kick with Adrian, Dan Johnson, and another person's name I keep forgetting, and from a distance I heard the most familiar voice. I turned and guess what?
JACK "MAJOR D" KELLER!!!
HOLY SHIT. The Shin Master himself showed himself at Funtastiks in the nick of time! I thought this would be the most laid back Funtastiks ever, and Jack shows up and lit up the whole scene. Thanks Jack, you made my weekend. I gave him the best bearhug ever. We shared on some shin-type moves and had a load of fun.
So... uh... socialized a bunch with most of the footbaggers there, gave my goodbyes to HooD, Caleb, Jake, and Brad, and watch the final's comp. Benny did a great routine in tribute to Ted Fritsch, wear he wore a t-shirt on his head and pulled up his shorts and did Ted's Rush routine. FREAKIN' AMAZING. Modified has to watch it. A lot of solid freestyle routines too. Gordon Scott Bevier, Dave Clavens, Tuan Vu, Greg Nielson, and Scott Davidson did a lot of cool shred. Had to say goodbye to Jon, Chris and Jeff afterwards. Chris Balch and Nathan Pipenburg a little bit later. I then pretty much hung out when the event ended and helped clean up a bit. Helped Ted get his stuff, and did some quasi-goodbyes to all of the greats (Ted wanted to go to the bar where everyone else was going to after the event, so all of my words were for nothing
).
Drank, ate, socialized... the whole shebang. Me and Dan Johnson were joking about how "bigot" was spelt, and I think I lost a $50 wager on the word having two gs in it. Ouch. Good thing we were just messing around (hopefully). Talked with a lot of the greats as well. Tuan Vu wanted to take pictures of everyone partaking on the festivities, and I was in about 3 funny pictures with him. One in particular was with Tuan Vu with his knees on a barstool posing with a tall net guy, Josh Penney in the middle, and myself below Josh to exaggerate on the whole height issue. That was a fun night. After having said my "real" goodbyes and feeling pretty full and buzzed from the evening, Ted, Edna and I went out and returned to NY with a lot of good memories.
Thank you Funtastiks. Thank you Joe and Brenda Solonoski for another great year. And thanks for all of the footbaggers that made it to this event. It was super awesome as always.

Great writeup Waylon! Too bad me Chris, and Jeff had to leave before the final party but we can make up for that next year
On a side note, Waylon said "If you ask me though, anything involving violence has no proper excuse so both parties were at fault then. " I agree and I apologize if the incident caused people stress

Don't worry about it Jon. I was just worried to get my ass kicked out of the hotel.
Anyway, shit happens. TONS OF IT. But everything always ends up being reasonable at the end, somehow.

Some things I'd like to note about today. A lot of bad things happened. I'l list them down.
Today sucked ballz.
- I lost my batch of Rose Quartz facile at college. I looked everywhere, but no luck. I brought all of my colors to college so that I can cut out some panels and whatever, and it seems that my Rose Quartz slipped out. You would think somebody would help me out by saying that I dropped some pink facile on the floor, but it's NYC. People don't give a shit about you unless you do them a favor first.
- The bag I was working on from Funtastiks (Petit Pois/Country Cream) had a huge burn mark on it when I was finishing the blind stitch. Somebody walking very fast by the side of my seat seemingly pushed enough air current to singe the bag. I also found out on that same spot, the bleed hole ripped, but that was due to my negligence on the flip. In any case, this bag is dead to me.
- I came unprepared for a class I really enjoy taking. Classical Greek Philosophy/Ethics. And seeing that the prior two matters really pissed me off, and that I was unprepared, I just sat in that class and listened to his lecture. I didn't take any notes. Well, it's based on the beginning of the Gorgias, so it's alright. Still, I just felt uneasy being there for an hour and 15 minutes.
Today sucked ballz.

On my post mentioning how gay it was for me to lose my Rose Quartz batch, I found out what else I was missing in my bag of facile: my scraps! Paizely, Tulip, Navy, my leftover swatches (Amatista included) - gone! This is a major upset. I don't feel so pissed about losing the scraps like I did with the Rose Quartz, but I did have a lot of unique colors I was saving up (Amatista being one of them). Le sigh.
At least I'll be getting some Amatista from Holly soon, and 4" of the stuff is super cool. This just means that I'll be stitching up her bag this weekend, as well as Jake Milofsky's request.
And there will be some kicking tomorrow with a whopping 85 degree Fahrenheit! And I'm modding my sweet 7.5 Blue/black striped G-units! Super cool!
Footbag!
edit: I was a bit too excited to post these in my blog, and instead posted them in the "Post your pic!" topic in Kicking Circle.
Here is me trying to keep my cool with my hero, Tuan Vu. (I'm so freakin' shy!)

Me and Tuan again, with a great net player. Hoppy Trails I.P.A. on pint.

Priceless.

I am so stoked about Kickass. It's all I think about right now, and the event is getting so close I just can't wait anymore. Canada! I'm even holding my 'Blurriest' prize bag for the event, and it is just so... HAWT! Unbelievable. My stitching has increased all for the better, as is my game I believe. I can see a lot of the moves I do being bsosed, and it's an amazing feeling. I just want more time to school at the best health I can muster out of my body, but that balance is always shapeshifting due to time and other things!
College has been a bore, but I'm doing my best. I have two orders that I must do before my usual orders: one from a NYFA player (3 bags!), and Chris O'baras (2 bags!). I don't like to have people waiting on me, and the club always comes first, so it's a bit of a hassle. I have a bag on hold from a friend of mine (who footbags and had a birthday since August; birthday bag) and Ted Fritsch who placed an order for one bag before Funtastiks. Then there's Chris Dean, Danny Petrick, and Elliott Mowle; 1 bag for each. I need to get to stabbing!
For freestyle: I love Atomic! I don't care if my hip gets sore from overusing that move, but I love it! I want to bsos it! However, from overusing it, I think I rush on my pixies way too much on my strongside these days. i really need to control my timing and the amount of force I use on each set. I'm starting to understand hippy fairies, but only on my strongside.
In general, all of the moves I know from now, I want to bsos, and have focused more attention into bsosing them. I'm still working on clip mirage drills like Drew Martin has noted to me, so that's a plus. It's just a bit weird for me to integrate into muscle memory.
Oh yeah, I have been doing a lot of toe kicking when I'm not in my shred gear. I think it's the coolest thing to do and I have become a bit more consistent in it. Level up!

I kind of strained my strong-side knee from last Saturday's kicking session. It was just me and Drew Martin, so it was much more intense than my usual footbag days. I was just working on flip mirage: INSANE! I have the gist of doing it, but doing two consecutive mirages in a row was just torture. I definitely overworked my body, but I definitely learned a lot.
I've been wearing a knee brace for a couple of days now; today sans knee brace. i think I'm pretty fit to go all out for KICKASS, even with this slight pull. I'm super excited! The trip is going to be pretty long for me, but I'll be hanging with the bestest East Coast buddies I've known in footbag. Canadians not excluded! I can't wait to see you all, as well as the newbies to footbag tournaments. I also can't wait to see Taishi again and kick with him, since I feel that I didn't get to play at my optimal level at Funtastiks.
As for stitching, i've been doing a ton of private orders. I really really really really really want to sell footbags in person at KICKASS!!! There's nothing more gratifying for a stitcher than to sell a product they're 100% sure will be shreddable. Trades are cool to make bags for others and receive them as well, but I feel the mentality of some people in doing trades is that they're not doing their utmost to make a super quality bag. No matter if it's selling or trading, I want to go all out and prove to myself and others that I have the right stuff to stitch. The same should also apply to footbag freestyle.
I know I'm sounding like a perfectionist in all of this, but it's a distasteful truth that a lot of people have to accept in some way I believe. You just have to muscle through to make your form super great, appealing and comfortable to you and others. It's a form of universality in which pushes you to think that you can't just half-ass everything you do.
Alright, I'm going to do a paper, go to class, and do some stretching afterwards. Then stitch a bag for myself and hopefully squeeze in a bag to sell at Kickass.
Whoo WHOOOOOOOOO Footbag!
I've been wearing a knee brace for a couple of days now; today sans knee brace. i think I'm pretty fit to go all out for KICKASS, even with this slight pull. I'm super excited! At first i wanted to type up a huge write-up about his most awesome event, but because of travel lag and college I've been taking a large break in footbag and the internet in general. I've just been so tired lately, and the changes in weather aren't for the better for me personally.
KICKASS 2
9.29.2006
So, it was early friday morning when I started my trip to Rochester, NY. I got out of the house at 5:30 in the morning just to go to Penn Station to catch my 6:52 am train. 7 freakin' hours baby, but I didn't care. I wanted to meet my East Coast buddies and go off to Canada to have a blast. Therefore, I rested a bunch, had a nice long chat with an old granny from Utica (going to Rochester as well), and stitched a bag while avoiding the ticketers (y'know, lighters and all).
When I reached Rochester, I was a bit worried. The station's men's restroom was locked, and I had to piss SOOOOOO bad. Funny how that's the most striking thing i can recall when I finally got off of the train. So, to take my mind off of the whole thing, I did a bunch of toe kicks to pass the time. It was a bit weird to do them, because my shoes were wobbly as hell (they're a size 9 Leather Laver, sample pair, I wear a size 8 Laver). Guess what? After 3-5 minutes from kicking, who shows up out of nowehere but Matt Cross! I haven't seen this guy since Funtastiks, and I missed him so much. The first thing he noticed from me were my hot shoes, and he oggled over them the whole time we were at the train station. Then we went for a ride.
On our ride, he showed me his MC bags. The batch of bags he had were super hot, and I lavished over his creative designs. I'm pretty narrow in thinking up on hot designs, so it was too surreal to look and critique a method in stitching them, but whatever. I really wanted to help out Matt in his money troubles, so I bought a bag from him instantly. It's Sunny Sienna hexes and Tulip pents, and I don't care what others say about Sunny Sienna. This bag is butterz! I enjoyed hand breaking in the bag on our ride. And on our ride, we thought up on the best idea - go to the best sushi place in town California Rollin'! We both ordered 8.50s (Sashimi bowl with sides); Matt with a Sunomono and I a Miso Soup, and a Plum Beer for each. Best meal ever. Then we went over to pick up Chris Dean at the local mall.
Seemingly dazed and confused (even when I yelled out Chris Dean-a at the top of my lungs), Matt threw a bag right in front of him. It was a hallmarking footbag greeting.
We packed up and headed straight to the border.
The drive was loads of fun, maybe because we were excited for Kickass 2, or maybe because we were pretty close friends. I don't know, but it was awesome to be in the same car as Chris Dean and Matt Cross again. The drive turned surreal when we came upon a lot of amazing scenery when we were coming close to Canada. The sunset, an open forest, etc. It only whetted my desire to get to Canada ASAP. We did a couple of stops to get some essentials I think, one in particular a Johnny Walker Red Label (yum!) and we approached the border.
I was a bit embarassed to forget to sign my passport (and did so sloppily on the ride toward Kingston), but i guess it didn't matter. I'm in Canada, bitches! It was all good, especially when we set foot into Kingston. Me and Chris Dean needed to exchange our USD to Canadian, so when we got there we did it immediately. Matt Cross went to park his car, and who did me and Matt noticed when we passed Tom's apartment? Pascal and Lewis from Ithaca!!! Awesome! At the parking lot, again, who did we see? Josiah Digges!!! It's become a gathering of friends now. Awesome.
I got to see Tom again at his apartment, after lifting Matt's stuff up there for his private concert. It was nice and spacious, and I loved the feel of the place. It was great to see Tom again, and we had a huge bearhug. He introduced me to his Vapir system, and it just look unbelievable. Very crafty, very cool - only from the Tom Mosher.
He then lead us to the event site, which was a pretty spacious complex (not as good as the place he wanted the event to be set, across from his apartment), but it was decent. A first from all of the previous tourneys I've been to. I was acquainting myself with other recognizable faces until someone rushed in and literally pounced me. It was Pengpeng! I thought to myself "Hi Pengpeng! Okay, get off of me... AHH!" That was when I fell to the ground with her. Super fun.
A lot of my good footbag buddies were there. Taishi, Skip, Ryan Seath, RFA, etc. And I made friends with a bunch of new players there too, which was super cool. I immediately went to Mike Faille and demanded my small Nintendbag tee from him, and it was awesome. I bossed around Ben Roscoe and Skip jokingly. Mike Anello! I haven't seen him since GRASS. Erik Chan busting pretty well even with his knee braces. I introduced Dave Clavens to the shred place, (but left Gordon back at Tom's apartment because he wasn't listening to me
). I can't remember much of the shred scene that night, but it was definitely cool.
Matt did his small concert at the corner of Tom's apartment, near the entrance. That was definitely cool, and with his last song he sang about weed and brought us all together, smoking blunts that he prepared for us all. Matt Cross don't joke when it's time to smoke! That was simply amazing, bringing us together through weed and song. I liked that night a bunch.
Afterwards, we socialized, drank beer, did some vapir/bong hits and relaxed. I finished up the bag I stitched up on the train/Matt's car at Tom's place, and showed it to everyone. It was Country Cream hexes with Saffron pents, and it was my best bag out of my bigger template. Simply buttery and mushy, a bag Dave Clavens would want to shred with in compettion I think. Tom told me my bigger bags look like Jeremy Mirken bags and the smaller ones that I had with me looked like Lonn Irish - I just felt pleased. Not that my stitching advancement should stop there, but even with a few great comments like that I still want to improve. I think that's an ideal every stitcher should stick with.
End Day One.

Hey Waylon,
I'm really loving my new bag from you. I've been swamped with school so I haven't really had a chance to play with it properly, but it feels really nice and I've played with it just messing around pants shred. It's a bigger than I like them since my feet aren't all that big, but I think it'll still be a good bag for me. KFM meeting tonight, and I'm sure I'll want to play with it.
Sorry about the toppling glomp. I didn't think you'd collapse like that.

It's no problem, Pengpeng. It was an exciting greeting.
Well, I was swamped with work and friends, so what became as "tonight" on the previous blog post turned out to be more. Whatever.
9.30.2006
It was Saturday morning, and I awoke at the super cool inner 4-square court that Tom had in the back of his apartment (literally across from his room). Will Digges was sleeping next to me on a yoga mat with his traditional "blanket monster" and Chris Dean right toward the wall. I think Nick Laroche was sleeping on the couch in that same room too.
Two things woke me up: Pengpeng talking to Skip in the other room, and Lotus. Lotus kind of stalked on us while we were sleeping, and in some way she was attracted to Chris Dean. That was cute. I for one was really sore and looking somewhat grumpy/tired (I always look like that when I wake up) and just walked out with my sleeping bag over my shoulders due to the cold. The three of us just chatted about things, and I just packed up whatever I can to clean myself up and shower.
I remember I was slightily broke from the night before, and I had to go out and run for some money at the local bank. It was Matt, myself, Chris Dean, Pat Tallon, and some other guy I think (I forget) and we just walked around with Pengpeng as our guide. I have to say, from our walk to the nearest money exchanges and banks, the city of Kingston was a beautiful place in the daytime. Minding the cold, it was just the kind of place I would want to settle in one day.
As Peng lead me around to a bank with an ATM that would actually accept my yankee debit card, passing a beautiful food market and such, she asked if she could buy the bag that i just stitched last night. I felt somewhat doubtful about the offer, but finally caved in since I was a stitcher after all and I could always make another bag of that size/color. It was a pretty hot bag, but as Pengpeng stated above, it is a tad big for her. Still, it is the best stitching I've done with a bigger template then, and I always think it's better to give than receive really. Plus, I would be guaranteed a KICKASS2 tee with 20 CAD, so it was all good. We then went back to the apartment.
As I walked up to the warm abode, guess what? FOOD! Thank you meal plan! I had a nice hot sandwich to munch on and some shred vidoes to watch. I think we were going through the middle of Forshizza and then watched some Balance of Power, and then did some Vapir and smoked a bong. I checked out Mike Faille's and Camille's camo G-units (even wore Camille's) and they felt comfy as hell modded. I've only tried a 7.5 unmodded, filled in with mucho cushion and paddings. I was very content, but not tempted to buy the camo G-units since I still have my precious black/blue Gs on me. It was a very chill time before the hour of noon.
We went off to the shred site, kicked a bunch, and went off to the church to do some more preliminary shredding before circle comps. It was the first time I ever competed, and my first for a Circle Comp, so i was excited. This must be what Skip had felt in... TOFU shred? I was also a bit nervous, but since I was kicking in a circle with a bunch of my friends it was alright. Camille was feeling the pressure too, if not more, and we were just talking about it when we were kicking in the circle. I felt really tired before I competed, and my ideas for original shred kind of defenestrated out of my mental window.
Circle comp was REALLY FUN. It was Salt (modified monicker, I forgot his actual name), myself, Jake/Jeremy (?) of the KFM and Ben Roscoe. I kept signalling Matt Cross at the drums to kick up the beat, which was hilarious. I just needed a ton of motivation, but I started to feel the nervous twitch and my tired legs giving way. I just went off to hit big moves, which was a pretty big risk on my part, but I still had a great time competing. I definitely need to work on string length and resting up before competition. Ben Rawscoe was really fluent in his string length and that turned on the crowd and the judges.
There were a lot of great competitors in Circle, but I just can't remember any that I can list off the top of my head in that locale. i wish Erik Chan can put up some finished footage soon.
We were kicked out of the Church because, I guess, it was sacrilegious to kick on holy grounds. So we went back to the old shred spot. I remember Taishi, Matt Cross, Willie Digges, Flash Gordon and the Cleaver hitting a lot of strong links in competition. I was a bit surprised that Taishi didn't go to the semi-finals, but I guess Matt and Will muscled through more points than he could bargain for. Open was just really intense.
I was beat and tried to do some stitching, but my eyesight couldn't handle the dimly lit room. I remember handing Aiden my templates for a good average sized bag for her to copy, and helping out Ben with some facile. I got this reall hot pink facile from Aiden, and I just want more of it. Much more. Ben gave me some Fired Clay, which I was equally grateful. Oh, and I tried to do the Mosher stitching style, but damn was it hard! I doubt I could go to that route in stitching, but it definitely makes for a choice loose stitching method.
Then it was time to get some food. Chris Dean, myself, Ben Roscoe and Derrick of the KFM (I keep mistaking him for Adam Greenwood - they look so alike!) went out to get a burger. Derrick didn't have any money on him, period, and I just couldn't let him go through the night hungry. We went to some dank bar a couple of block away from Tom's apartment and ate there. Cheap burgers if you buy a drink. It was me, Chris Dean, and Derrick who ordered a half a pint of Blue Moon, and Derrick and Ben had orange juice and whatever. The surplus of cash I had left to buy a NG Footfighter (to which there were no NG Footfighters for sale), paid for his meal and mine. In fact, the orange juice was more expensive than the beer that night! Funny.
Oh yeah, I spilled and cracked my plastic container holding up my steel shot filler. Ouch! That sucked a bunch, but my backpack was over packed with a bunch of items, so it was a "reasonable mishap." We went back to Tom's apartment, I refilled my shot into a plastic bag, and I sold a Marmalade/Midnight bag to Salt. It was my choicest bag out of my average template, and I was glad he got it. It was actually a reserved bag to one of the NYFA members, but I definitely could , and did, make another one out of that color combo/weight/size. We then head out for the Juice bar.
Me and Skip were talking about handshred on the way there, and I was just thinking what could be done for Cloud. I didn't even touch on the move that well, even when I was pumped for it.
After many failed attempts, I just quit and hung out. Taishi brought a pretty cute japanese girl with him at the night club. Her name was Asami. I guess they were old friends or met on some japanese myspace network, and they were chatting the whole night. I did some kicking with and without my pants, and tried to have fun and stitch that night.
Finals Circle Comp arrived at last, and it was a blast. Intermediate Circle Comp had Camille Surovy, Josh Lackey, Dan "Skippy!" Cyr, and Ben Roscoe. So, 3 FAT members against the mighty warrior. It was like a beat'em up! But Ben Roscoe held his own, and hit some nice long tiltless runs with a ton of uniques. Skip hit hard and well as a finalist. Josh attempted Atom Smasher > Paradon for his last run, which was just a great link to move him up the ladder, but he just footed the paradon. Camille showed off all the boys how to play super smooth and cool with insides and sole delays. It was a splendid Circle Comp.
And do I have to mention the Open Circle Comps? Simply amazing. I just remember blurry ass stall from Matt, Willie's tapping dlos, Flash's super smooth style and Dave Clavens long runs. Apparently, everyone was talking about him ending with Montage, and I missed it when i glanced away for a second! How weird, and I really hope the footage comes out soon.
The awards were pretty cool. Ben Roscoe got MC #50 and David got a Felix Zenger bag. The sweepstakes were also super cool. Taishi got Forshizza, I got Balance of Power and gues who got the gift certificate for the Felix Zenger bag? Derrick! Talk about a change in karma! Good stuff for the guy.
All I remember in the after party was that i got slightly tipsy from drinking, and I was at the table with Taishi, Asami, and Nick Laroche. I have to give some love to Nick for being such a funny jerk, as he was teasing Asami the whole night for her poor english. I was laughing the whole night and tried to help Asami out in this ordeal. The only words that really need to be known in that night's talk was "oily," greasy," and "risdence."
Going back to Tom's apartment, me and Matt shared some strawberry shortcake ice cream, I had a swig from the Johnny Walker Red Label, and i was content for the whole night. I remember it was a bit hard to get Pat Tallon and Willie Digges back into the apartment, Mike Anello and Aric McIntosh was severely waste, Chris Dean spouting a bunch of stuff about how he's the hottest guy to roam the earth, and me and Aaron (Paul Agostinelli's friend) making fun of Pat and another guy's snoring while smoking a bong of 'nothing pot.' (I only did some, but didn't kill the whole batch that was on the table. I later gave my respectful apologies to Tom the next day.)
So, after a fiasco of helping Will Digges get to sleep with a few gulps of water down his system, and being a "blanket monster" we drifted back to sleep. Oh, and I finally got a comfy yoga matt to sleep in.
End day two.
Well, I was swamped with work and friends, so what became as "tonight" on the previous blog post turned out to be more. Whatever.

I figured since Ken Somolinos wasn't coming I wouldn't get to read a big epic KICKASS writeup. Fortunately, I was mistaken. Wicked write up so far Waylon. I'm enjoying reading it...I almost prefer blog write-ups to videos sometimes.
Oh, and:
EDIT: Hopefully I'll seeya soon Waylon. It's looking like I'm prolly going to Chicago NYJ this year, so hopefully I'll seeya there!
Oh, and:
GRASS, actually. And yeah, that feeling is so sick. A mix of adrenaline, excitement, and utter fear. Talk about a rush. This must be what Skip had felt in... TOFU shred?
