Thanks Max :)

How is the judging working? Is it just you or do you have some others as well?

Err let me see. For Novice comps the judges were:

- Byrin
- Fred Touzelet (one of the guys from Unanime-Works)

I'm still waiting for Fred's sick 3 results, but I think I'll judge them myself today.

Open comps:
- Byrin
- Serge Kaldany (the guy who posted the video of alpine quantum torque a couple of weeks ago)

When there are ties then I'll judge to seperate the tied contestants.

So, yeah thnks to Byrin, Serge and Fred. And Nic of course

Anssi Sundberg:

Fussion>spanish fly>mullet:

Hard 5/6 add
Very hard 5 add (if clean - which it was)
Easy 6 add

Phil Morrison - Food processor>spinning whirl>blurry whirling swirl

Easy 6 add
Easy 5 add
Hard 6 add
--------

Phil's combo was good. Anssi was better - better form, better combo.

It's an interesting opinion, but I don't agree. Add's dont mean difficulty in sick3, you have to take into account links aswell.

Anz:
Fission > spannishfly - easy link (no dexing set out of dexing move or spinning out of osis)
spannishfly > mullet - easy link

But for Phil:
Food > spinning whirl - moderate/hard link (spinning out of osis)
spinning whirl > blurry whirl swirl - (stepping out of whirl)

Also I think visual astetics come into it aswell, and in that area Phil's combo looks a lot 'cooler', spinning out of food processor and blurry whirling swirl are very cool looking.

Fusion, spanish fly and mullet are all cool looking.

stepping out of whirl is easy

What can you hit out of fusion? How often do you see fusion>spanish fly?

There are plenty of videos where you see people spinning out of blenders.

Are you argueing because you come from the same country?

Clearly I was not saying that adds = difficulty. Phil's combo has one more add so what is your point?

Anssi's moves were harder, he hit them better and the look of his combo was better. The only reason Phil won is because he has one hard move at the end of his combo.

Another thing to take into account is variety. 3x pdx whirl moves? :?

Although the first link and blurry whirling swirl is pretty phat.

Why are you so defensive? Nic seemed like he was being a nice enough guy about it. Just cuz he disagreed doesn't mean you hafta unnecessarily accuse him taking Phil's side cuz they're from the same country. That's just stupid.

Nic was just giving his opinion as were you. He just disagreed but at least he wasn't so defensive about it.

Stepping out of whirl definitely much harder than ducking after a double down.

Phil had two up time dexs, anz had one

You cant say that one persons combo looked better like its a fact, its just your opinion.

Anz should get some points for having a more original combo, we've all seen lots of food and spinning whirl but combining phils three moves was more dificult than combining anz's three moves.

I am sorry if it sounded like that. English is not my first language - I am not good at saying things well. What languages do you speak?

fusion - considerably harder than food processor
spanishfly - considerably harder than spinning whirl
mullet - easier than blurry whirling swirl.

It is easy to say that fusion>spanish fly is an easy link - but they are both very hard moves. Hitting a hard move to a hard move is a much harder thing to do than hitting an easy move to an easy move with a hard connection. Spinning whirl is barely worth 5 adds - a combo that is move>spinning whirl>move does not contain hard links. Spanish fly is very hard to hit cleanly - there are lots and lots of videos of not clean spansish fly and very few videos of it clean. Any combo that has spanish fly in the middle is hard.

You can not look at the components of a move to decide if a link is hard or not. Osis>ripwalk is an easy link. Double inspinning osis>blurry torque is a very hard link - both have the component link osis>stepping.

spanish fly is also very hard to play well out of. Very hard to keep balance and set good. So is Fusion - they are both hard moves to play out of because you have to be very attacking and fast. People who say that fusion>spanish fly is an easy link or that spanish fly>mullet is easy link are unable to hit those moves or they would know how hard it is to play from fast attacking double down moves. If you can hit paradon>ducking clipper does not mean you can hit spanish fly>mullet.

Damnit. Now I feel like an ass heheh. Sorry man. I only speak English. And I didn't mean to be a dick or anything. Slight missunderstanding. Hope we can still be cool :D. Again sorry about the mistake.

No. I was disagreeing with you because I don't agree with your statements.

I am actually quite good friends with Anssi, probably more so than Phil. I also have enourmous respect for Anssi's game.

I just believe Phil's combo is technically harder than Anssi's, simple as that.

Thanks so much for all your work getting these comps judged Max! You have done a great job :)
