I also got a couple of DANK bags in the mail from Waylon Lew, they RULE!!! best stiched bags I've owned since my last Lonn Irish bag a few years ago. I'll have a camera tomorrow and will post some pics and do a short write up.

I'll be in Eugene Friday- ? and will be shredding down with Mr Erickson and will hopefully have some stuff to post about.

Had a dank session with Aaron Orton and Mr E yesterday:

rev swirl x 5
swirl x 5
bullwhip
blurry grifter
sealed ripstein
whirling butter.. yay that felt good, maybe a sign that whirr is on its way???
Anywho, been skooling swirls alot, as I can work them for hours and hours and not get sore. Life has been good. just got an offer to house sit and get paid a bunch of bucks... just another excuse not to get a job  ohh well.. more time to shred.
Kicking with MR orton PUMPS ME UP!!! I throw so much harder stuff with him around. feels real good. but I'm sore as fudge today. Maybe I'll keep this feeling in mind at the next tourney I go to.. though will most likely resort to good old NN style shred... that'll do I guess
I have 4 active shred bags right now and a nice warmer upper ultra mini...many thanks once again to Mr Miller and wasabi! I love having more than one bag[/i]

Life has slowed down a bunch of late. Still not sure what m future holds, but I've got a house sitting gig in Eugene for a week that will keep me buisy, well for a week...
After waching the USO circle comp, I was damn near disgusted with the way I preform at tourneys. I'm probably being hard on myself but I am 100% motivated to not suck ass at SJFF. So I'm on a hardcore training regiment to whip my ass into shape and I'm keeping track of my progress in a notebook.

Its only been a week but the results are already starting to show. My game has slowed down considerably, and shuffle is getting to feel comfortable again. I am getting inches away from hitting whirrs. I now own ripstein. I hit maybe 20 of them today, even a few from butterfly. Swirls are feeling gooooood. I wanna go whatch more Jakob W from Germany footage and of course MR Smith footage to get me pumped to do non shuffle/non fearless shred. double spinningis feeling good, hit x2 on each side.
I've been whatching steel city shred vid by MR mahood lately and I'm so pumped to be as good as Bevier one day...ONE DAY!!! I don't think I'll ever shred like the Cleaver, but maybe I'll hit some of his combos some day- I'd love to be able to stepping duck like him.
Wow coffe really gets me typing alot! I think I'll end it now before I end up typing something I'll end up regreting. JM, drop a line some time, or just post in here and tell me how to get good at freestyle :D

I'm assuming that the "JM" you posted about above is me and not Jorden Moir- we two CAN get confused easily

TO get better at freestyle, you must concentrate hard and push yourse3lf even harder. Dont let your mind influence your body's capabilities negatively. Practice the right things and practice them often. And NEVER play net- it steals your soul.

Life may get busy, but a person who puts a lot of love into footbag is still a great shredder, no matter how much his/her abilities have hindered with the passing days. I'm glad to hear that you're working hard to be up to Flash Gordon some day. Don't let anything negative get you sidetracked to what you want in life, whether it's with footbag or any promising career. Nate Linscott will always be Nasty Nate in a shred circle. :P

I'll see you at the top, once I reach it that is. Hope to see you again some day. :)

I've been on a kick-every-other-day regiment, and it seems to work well. On the off days I still work a little air shred which keeps the new double dexing moves I'm workin on fresh. All my (party) friends are out of town so not much to do but kick and jam. James is rocking butter swirl, whirling swirl and rev swirling pickup.
After chatting with a wise footbag friend I decided to work a little weak side whirr and ripstein. Got both of them to role off my foot. I'm definatly starting to see a different spot to hold ones clipper, and balance, while doing whirls and swirls. I can see a day when ripstein will be easy and whirrs consistent. One day!
Had a few furrious sets and inchs from jani walker.. Not sure how much time I can devote to that each day, I need a little more flexability in the hip b4 that set feels good.
Hit atomic whirl the last 2 days, my first atomic trick with a genuine downtime.
Its been alot of fun kicking on campus lately with James, lots of good vibes. 8 more weeks till SJFF!

fusion!!!

worked some 2 move links yesterday:
butter swirl>gyro dlo
symp whirl>symp dlo
gyro whirl>whirling swirl
ducking clip>whirr
blurry whirl>stepping whirl

almost got 3 blurry whirls on each side, that should be coming in in no time. atomic feels good and I'm happy to be able to hit some genuines out of it. spinning ducking has been a joke of late and had all spinning ducking bops on both sides in a run.

A few things I keep thinking about to help my game improve:
1) Every pound you lose makes footbag that much easier.
2) You can never learn too much about osis
3) toes are important, play barefoot and focus on the position and angle of your knees
4) air dexing is the best way to learn double dex moves
5) let your body rest

I certainly don't know everything, but having a plan and sticking with it is certainly has helped me improve my game. Now I just need to prove it at a tourney  or buy a camera...

I'm analysing my game like that at the moment too... because my body couldn't keep up with how much I wanted to play. Now I train smarter and can play more :)

I like butter swirl > gyro DLO :)

And it's true, you can never know enough about osis.

So did James Erickson... I wonder if James Randall likes it too?

Back in Corvallis and solo sessioning. Decided my legs can handel every day shred when I kick alone. I've been doing single move skooling sessions 2 times a day. First time I've had the dedication to do it. It seems to be paying off.
day 1a)blurry whirls
1b)pdx torque
2a)flurry
2b)symp whirling swirl
tommorrow I'm planning blurriest and ripsteins.
Been digging all the new vids that have been coming out lately. Gives me butt loads of motivation.
Started playing guitar again, breaks are good, I feel like I'm tearing it up again... ok need to go strech so my legs can get into the position of Vaseks and Jordens in the banners :D

those single move days seem to be mostly moves notorious for destroying knees. be mindful while you're drilling

Thanks for the concern SD, however I pride myself on listening to my body and injury is not on my to-do list ;]

Frusterating sessions are well... FRUSTRATING!!!
Kicked for about 10 mins friday and my legs felt week, and instead of just spinning and ducking an hour away I decided to take a break and just strech. Which was a good move cause saturday I went to eugene and had a kick ass session with James E. Hour and a half, I know there were some highlights but I can't remember any of them because today SUCKED!!! I tried to convince myself that I'm strong enough to kick intensly two days in a row but I'm not there yet. So I sepnt an hour on campus spinning and ducking, and insiding, flyering and spinning outsideing, which almost was fun... hit spinning whirl x2 and a flip pdx blender, so I guess it wasn't a complete waste.
Anywhooo days like today will simply make me all the happier when I tear it up in the future I guess... shrug... still isn't going to stop me from going and drinkniong a 6er of cheap beer.
Speeking of which there was a nice free concert on campus yesterday with about 5 thousand college students attending. Pretty sweet to see all of the young life out and about, and not have to worry about classes in 48 hours!!! We hit the bars afterwords... they are expensive... That is all... till my next highlight session- NN OUT

I haven't screamed out loud during a session in a long time...

Today I did twice!!!!

flip ripstein

and my pride and joy:

JANIWALKER

yay! and to prove(to myself) it wasn't a fluke I hit both of them twice. Which is something I can't say about 90% of the stuff I post in my blog

Also symp whirling swirl is getting EASY and bsosed it ALOT. flip pdx torque still sux... getting the motions down for flip supperfly.... uhhhh I think thats about all I worked... ohh yeah symposium eggbeater bsos
