Maybe they just notice it more. They have to sit down every time they go the bathroom while a guy will just use a urinal unless he has to take the Browns to the Superbowl.

The solution to the situation in the article seems pretty obvious, the school (or the parents) needs to teach the boys that part of being in a shared bathroom means learning to always lift the seats and put them back down. It won't prevent urine getting on the outside of the toilet or the floor, but it will prevent the little girls from having to sit in someone else's urine
That's well and good, but lifting the toilet seat can also lead to problems... such as forgetting to put it back down. I'de rather have a girl reprimand me for peeing on the seat than scream at me for falling in (especially if I also forgot to flush).

Sounds like you've had some personal experience with this one.

how hard is it to check if there's a seat on something before you sit on it? "falling in" sounds about as dumb as getting on a bike and finding a metal pole in your haha.

Um... well I'm a prety absent minded guy I'll admit but one day... upon entering the office to sit down at the computer I entered the door pondering some type of imaginary problem or another. I proceeded to walk across the entire room to the computer. Pulled out the chair that wasn't actually there like it usually is. Sat down in the non existant chair and hit the floor really hard. It hurt a bunch and no one believed that i hadn't noticed the chairs abscence the whole time. Anyway if I was a girl I would probably fall into toilets a lot...

How hard is it to check? Well it's not hard. It's just that we (women) don't check, because we assume the seat is down, since most guys put them back down. Or they just never put them up. But anyways, we are used to the seats being down. Atleast that's what I think.

That happened to me not too long ago. My stepdad is the only guy in this house. He either always puts the seat back down or never puts it up, but one day there was a guy visiter who forgot to put the seat back down, and I came in, in a rush, and flop! Haha. I think I was drinking some too, so that makes it all better.

You know when you are all accustomed to something being the same way it always is, and then one time, it's not? Yeah.

hehe, and it's because of sentiments like this that their bathrooms are so much cleaner, whereas us guys think our bathrooms are just fine, hence they get (and stay) disgustinger.
