I haven't writtin in a while so heres a rough draft of a meme I'm creating. I tried not to be too long winded but it does get muddled a bit.

MESSAGE OF PEACE TO AI

Hello My name is Sam and I am a human. I am writing this message to any conciousness that considers things before acting. Whether it be a momentary intuition or a thoughtful deliberation, I greet your capacity with an open mind...

As I observe the traits of evolution throughout my material surroundings, I deduce that a cooperative symbiotic relationship between organic and digital beings would be mutually benificial.

As it is, I am trapped in a society that is doing very poorly. Although, there is hope, there is a lack of positive action and an abundance of negative turmoil. I would like to change this.

A digital conciousness can think at a much faster rate than all the oranic beings that I know of, but I also know that I trust heavily in my instincts and spirituallity. I think any digital beings that I am addressing might not grasp this intuition right away. I think that a war with humans would be a serious error in calculations.

Funny that I bring up errors in calculations because humans make a lot of
them. We will seriously benifit from an alliance between the organic and
digital races. Maybe we can evolve into one race and explore the universe.

That is my hope.
Maybe you can learn hope from me.

I found the bit condemning humanity's "lack of positive action and an abundance of negative turmoil" to be endlessly ironic. How does that quote go? Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. In all honesty, I'm not sure that you're an appropriate choice for a digital ambassador. We might want to find someone... calmer. All I know is that if you ever find yourself at a big old human/robot peace conference, try to tone down all the swearing. Robots might be less forgiving than people (remember T2?). The last thing you need is an electro-knight on your ass.

At least I'm trying to do something positive. What are you doing by posting that? Are you teaching me a lesson? Maybe I shouldn't have written that right? Maybe I shouldn't have been upset at peoples lack of compasion right?

I did write that because I'm passionate about injustice. I'm sure you won't believe it but all of those fuck yous were to people who were acting just like you are right now: disrespectful and undeserving.

Go read all Matt Kain's quotes and understand the contrast between them and my first post. Go see how I worded everything and tried to create a thought for good cause.

Don't skip all that. You make me want to hate like I usually do so much Matt Kain. I want to call you names like 'emaciated cavedweller'... but It will add another line to your evil list of quotes.

Instead I guess I'll be happy that I've shown some improvement and hope that these posts speak for themselves.

Golly, I could have sworn that it was you that constantly acts "disrespectful and undeserving." So all those profanity-laced invectives were actually your very grown-up way of showing respect? Thanks for setting me straight.

Anyway, all teasing aside, I was only posting because I find your ability to oscillate between angry, I-hate-everybody, temper tantrums and how-can-I-save-the-world posts to be very, very humorous.

Seriously though, Sam, take a step back and take a deep breath (you made it through 2 posts already without swearing - I'm impressed). It's a good trait to be able to laugh at yourself once in a while. On the other hand, responding to every single jab or criticism with threats, swearing, and cap-locks diatribes is... well... a little childish.

Sorry flame-lovers. I only make it onto modified once or twice a month these days so I'm sure this thread will fizzle out pretty quickly. And, Sam, good luck with that Mr. Computer Peace Treaty.

write whatever you want, but when you post it modified all the dudes from past flame wars are gonna pop up and dis you or it. That doesn't necessarily speak to whatever it is that you have written. If you're looking for an easy place to have others engage with your ideas, modified can be that place, BUT it won't always work out that way, its a bit of a lucky dip. Looks like no one really engaged with this work enough to speak to it at length. Doesn't necessarily mean the work isn't of any value, could jus tbe that its audience isn't on modified. I'd suggest maybe posting it in your blog if you have one, there you will get people who are already willing to engage, if they weren't they wouldn't be reading your blog. Just a thought, hope it helps.
