Excellent to hear your strapping on the lavers.
Finish 3rd in that tournament. Lost to the eventual winner, used to be world no 86.
However i got layed. I think sex helps my squash performance.

Nice work hagsey. Good to hear you're thinking of playing again Jesse. Once a fortnight is better than nothing Gareth, although I do find I enjoy it more when I manage to play at least once a week.
Sydney jam went well, there's a bit of a roundup on footbag.org forum. All you qld's were missed. If it was any indication of what nationals will be like, I wouldn't miss it (well I've already booked my flight so I'm not going to miss it, but none of you should either) - only a couple of months to go so if you're gonna be involved, I'd start preparing now.

Why not gareth.
Well at the moment i am in NSW at ballina for the ballina open. I am unable to play footbag down here because i have to save my energy for the tournament.
I had to play my first match last night(friday). I was the 5th seed he was the 4th seed.
A. Hagen def C. Strickland
15-8,16-17,15-8,13-15,17-15
The match went for 70 minutes. I really should have won the match in 3, especially if i had got that second set. I played really well, sometimes my mental game let me down, eg wrong gameplan at the wrong time. But i am happy to get through to the next round. i play Jason corkery who is the no1 seed. He is my mentors son. He plays top line squash in sydney. He will be extremely hard to beat, but i will try my best.
peace

Yo blog
Just played my semi final. Didn't end up playing jason the no 1 seed, he lost to the number 9 seed.
K. Rawler def A.Hagen
12-15,15-13,15-8,15-9 match duration 45 mins
I tried my best. just some errors when i should have hit winners. He is number 3 in the under 19's in nsw so there is no disgrace in losing to him. Would have been my first title since i won the qld open. Lot of people came up to me and praised me for my efforts so that is cool.
I play of for 3rd tomorrow, hopefully i will stay strong. It will be my second consecutive 3rd if i win. I am happy that i can mix it with these top players.
Keep up the good work shredders.

played yesterday for about 45 mins!
my muscles were a bit tight to start off with but i soon loosened up.
my left ankle was giving me a bit of trouble so I avoided using it
some stuff I got:
32 tiltless first shot
pdxwhirl>spinning whirl bs first attempt
blur>dim(rpt)>rip>side(rpt)
smear>smear>smear on flip
dlo bs first shot
smog first shot on strong, flip needs some work
pdx dlo on strong first shot
a run with barfly and bsos pdx whirl, dropping on other barfly
9 consec ripwalks (ew)
3 consec flip spinning clippers
some other stuff
my game is pretty rusty all up but i kind of assured myself that i could get back to where i was in a couple of weeks
i still need to rest my ankle up a bit cause its a tad sore today
peace

Tonights session wasn't a total waste, though the absence of music made it hard to get the energy to move. The breeze was blowing through rather cold, and with my holidays ending today... I was in need of motivation.
I started out schooling clippers and found myself to be 'typically' out of form. Reciently I've noticed how much longer it's taking me to warm up my clippers. I admit, though, that it has a lot to do with how little I've been playing lately. So I can't really complain. Especially as my clippers eventually started comming to me.
I'm still having troubles with my infinities and I think it's definately the footwork that's causing the problems. I switched from a more energy draining stepping style to the more dynamic swinging dexing style (I don't know if that's a good enough example for you, but too bad) around the start of this year, so I've been schooling it somewhat. But, they just seem to get worse. It's more likely that there's just been no improvement, but it feels like it's worse than ever.
Running out of inspiration quickly, I attempted pdx whirl and actually footed it! No catch or seal, though... but it felt good to see how easy it's become. No joy came with PS Whirl, though.
I played with a bit of stepping, hitting blur both sides, Ripwalk>ss clip>repeat about three times, I had some good ducking clipper consecutives, too!
All in all, I found the total lack of music to be my downfall tonight. I felt good about what I actually hit, but know that with more practice, I would step up to a new level easily.

Pretty average session for me tonight. I put it down to the drummers that turned up, drowing out the beats.
Probably the highlight to tonights session was meeting a guy named Raven from British Coloumbia (Canada). He stopped kicking about 4 years ago when he moved to Australia with his Girlfriend.
I gave him my number if he's ever keen for a kick - and we will hook up at Southbank for a session.
(Might Brisbane once again have a scene?)
