Well, I played hackysack a while ago and was just starting to get into real footbaggin' but I gave up because my footbag was a "hacky-sack" and it really really sucked. I could stall it... Sometimes!
So, now I have restarted. I am just getting the hang of some stuff. I can do the kicks, inside stalls and toe stalls as well as clipper.
I want to get ATW stalls, but I just cant get my foot around fast enough. Any tips on that?
So hello, again, people. Im back with a sandmaster sandbag which kicks ass compared to that old rock I had.
Restarted, well.. Sorta.

I find the key to getting enough time to dex the bag for ATW is to use your support leg (the one you stand on whilst the other does the dex). You need to sort of lift up with it onto its toes whilst the other leg does the dex which helps with the timing and then you dont need to race around the footbag at real fast.
Even if it seems fast now, later on it will seem quite a slow and controlled move, the key is definately not speed, but control.

I really wish people would stop saying that. Yes, it's a good bag, but his sandmaster is a good bag too. Old skoolers kicked with those things forever before Mr. Sandbags came out. If he's rockin it out with the Sandmaster, let him find Mr. Sandbags on his own time. To say 'he really should invest in one' is silly because it's not critical to his game right now.Spawn wrote:Awesome to hear you're back into this wonderful sport.
But I think you should invest in a Mr.sandbag, its a really good bag.
Now if he was using a sipa bag, or some really crappy bag, I can see where this strong recommendation would have a place. But telling him he REALLY SHOULD switch from one decent bag to another doesn't help things, it confuses them. Please read up on all of the equipment people use before implying that his bag isn't that great.

You're right in a couple ways, but I still believe the Mr. Sandbag is better. I played with Sandmastersa before I started freestyling and they're huge and easy to stall, but set like crap.
It's not an easy transition from a sandmaster to a 32.
But if you start with a Mr. Sandbag, it's a much easier transition.
At least, that was my experience.

I have played with mr.sandbags and sandmasters, I was just giving him MY OWN OPINION. Much like Isilwar explains in his post:shredzilla wrote:Please read up on all of the equipment people use before implying that his bag isn't that great.

My post came off a bit harsh, I just feel the most important thing is shoes. I started with a few different sandbags before I even discovered Mr. Sandbag. Mr. Sandbags are great bags, I just feel that if someone already has a decent bag, shoes should be stressed heavily, especially since they're the more costly of the two investments.
Someone could say 'Well, I'm getting all these different recommendations on bags, maybe I'll just not get shoes, and spend the money on these bags instead." It's not the most likely of all scenarios, but I just like to keep things simple: Lavers and a bag.
