Alright! Finally got to see this vid, albeit without sound.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. I agree with Nate that Takumi really seemed to be shredding in this vid, compared to the last couple outings. That's some of the best Takumi shred I've ever seen. I was real happy to see him hit a bunch of tricks and drills that he had come close to for some time. I thought vortex-drifter repeat was real smooth and nice, and the surge-leg repeat one was awesome too. Also real happy to see some more left-toe action in there.
As for the the "the" tricks.
1. Takumi "thes" some tricks, but he's aware of this, and cleans up a lot of stuff over time.
2. Takumi is only 17 or so, and is still growing. A lot of tricks are by nature harder to hit when you have smaller legs. Takumi's stepping sets used to be slurry when he was younger, but when he got more height, it sorted itself out. So keep that in mind before totally hating on him.
3. As I pointed out, some of the best players in the game "the" a lot of tricks too, and many of the very same tricks (symp whirls, swirls, etc). The thing that sets people like Felix, Vasek, and Takumi apart from others, is that these guys manage to make even "the" tricks look good.
Thanks for the vid Tencho. It makes me miss Japan, but it also makes me happy to see you guys playing so well and having so much fun.

I don't think that was the point of Ken's post, but again, thanks for the tip, I don't think anyone else noticed.
I think the points he was making are 1 - "the" moves often signal a players ability to move onto better things (including cleaning up those moves) 2- some moves still look rad when they are "the" and 3 - while takumi isn't as good as felix, who in turn isn't as good as vasek, they all belong to a group of players who can make "the" moves look good, when other players simply make them look ugly.
