Very nice, has anyone tried "around the moon" with a footbag?

I'd love to do something like that for footbag tricks when I get some more time

I remember the thread, I was going to make a page back then, but didn't have any time at all.

Around the moon is a bit like an atw but your head dexes the ball/bag. A bit like back set reverse ducking back stall, or chest stall set ducking chest stall.

I think its funny how their 'in atw' and 'out atw' are opposite of footbag's :D

Cool link. Thanks.

They have a forum on their site. I searched on it for "footbag" and "hackysack", on the whole people there are indifferent and don't seem to know too much about it. It was only mentioned in 7 or 8 posts.

Someone should sign up on their forum and make a post about freestyle footbag with some links to some really killer vids and some important site links like flipsider, hackrifice etc. I tried, but their site is all f'd up and I can't post. Maybe someone else can give it a shot.

I really think a guiltless footbag player should cross over to freestyle football just to see how good they'd be. I probably will eventually try freestyle football one day. Most likely years from now.

The vids are just animated gifs. The bandwidth would not be that high and it would be totally possible.

If quality is a concern you could always use some AJAX and FLVs to make a very smooth and seemlessly integrated set of video clips that would be of better quality.

The major problem I see with a page like this is making all the vids. The JavaScript could be written fairly easily to work with as many clips as you have on the page.

Bandwidth would be restricted to individual video clips themselves, but with Flash FLVs, that wouldn't really be a problem.

About the tricks - COOL - I love seeing different interpretations of what "A TRICK" is. For instance in one trick I saw toe kick pixie set > aerial SS toe kick > legover kick (or ATW kick > legover kick). Its a nice aerial concept that footbag is lacking. I believe Ellis has some aerial osis tricks and Jordan has some flying toe stalls that would fit with that concept as well.

All in all, pretty neat, but I'd like to see more combos and tougher tricks like the Triple ATW kick.

Cool, seems like freestyle soccer has some mad style to it. Lot of the tricks were 'the' though

triple around the world with a soccerball.... wow. I liked the 'akka's' a lot too, really cool style.

I like to kick a football around every now and again, but I played football well before playing footbag so its hard to tell what improved freestyle soccer wise because I already knew alot of stuff dex wise - but I can now do ducking and diving type tricks I couldnt do before and my stalls are more reliable. We had a football at the Sydney Jam this weekend and on the friday we kicked it around in a circle and Daniel (posts here as Canthraxsoldier I think) could do really solid toe AND clipper stalls - Jeremy could mirage pretty much the same as with a footbag (his dexing windows are bigger than they look). The two sports have alot to offer each other, there's alot of stuff they haven't thought of that we could show them.

The magellan doesn't have a pixie! Or if it should have, it's "the"
Indeed, in footbag most of these "dexes" wouldn't be legit, but hey  different sport.

Still a very cool site and set up (and that hotstepper really is hot!)
