If only I could sew like that....
All my bags turn out like junk. They don't sell facile around here so I use this suede stuff that turns out ok I guess.

The best place to get facile is to order it off of fieldsfabrics.com

Just click on Ultrasuede, and then Ultrasuede light.

Search around the site and you can find some threadss that talk about the best colors and stuff.

3rd 32.

Petit Pois, Dark Blue (?), and Colonial Red.

Found some extra samples in my room.

EDIT: Forgot to say it's up for trade or you can buy it for 15 bucks or so. :D

lucas, do you use decagons for your pents? I use them and my bags come out looking similar to that.

skimhumboldt: No, I just use the standard pent. I have never heard using a decagon before. What are the demensions? Are all the sides equal length?

Broken in bowler bag on left, my fourth on the right. I was really happy with how it turned out lookswise, but it feels weird. Way too soft :? it's an optical illusion, mine is only ever so slightly bigger than the bowler bag, and they're both smaller than the golf ball (although mine only a smidge)

Slightly smaller template next time. Stitching is fun. I can't wait till the first one where I can go "yeah, I like this"

big ups to pete for that bag. Haven't been able to find my peng bag all week (I'm sure it's lost in my room somewhere) so it's been great having yours to shred with!

Cougar print is definitely soft. Probably the softest out of all the other print colors on Field's.
