I haven't hit triple yet, but I'm learning like many other players.

For the record, I'm semi tiltless until I can clean up my flipsides.

To matt cross with the "bullshit". So I understand that I should learn to follow a set standard of saying "Hm... it sounds weird, and hard to do".. " Iguess I shouldn't post it cause so and so knows better" The attitude like that would have meant we probably would never be flying. Oh yes, for being such a "useless thread" I think its doing pretty decent.

I understand that there is a limit to how far we can go, but I still believe this trick is do able I am not asking for 30dex move, its 2 more than a Nemesis (WHich is hard already <-- Understatement) BUt I think its do able.

As for my "source" Steve G. who at first I thought was humoring me but he too believes thats this trick is going to be done. NO he can not hit all those fancy tricks, but I'll take his advise over a lot of other players these days. So I guess next time I see him I should tell him to shut up right? Since he can't do x trick or be tripless thus he's useless. Rgr over and out :D

Thanks Nick for that insight, it brought a bit more into perspective. BUt I know the trick is going to be hard. During the discussion someone brought up to probably pull off the trick you'd have to get yourself in the air to give yourself enough time and find a away to transfer the footbag to the 3 down time dex. Easier said than done right?

Like I said before, Footbag is an evolving sport, and I do not believe we know the limits of what we can or can't do until we push it further. I could be wrong, but if I am I'll stop playing since I know one can only be so good.

Peace

I don't think you should shut up. It's your right to speculate.

However, you might consider that it doesn't really command a lot of respect for you to suggest the doability of something not even close to happening (and arguably impossible by some of the best players around, at least two of which have posted in this thread) and then respond to doubt and counter-opinions by calling those who think differently than you haters, or spazzers, or close-minded, or blind, or whatever else you want to label those of us who think that your triaging trifly offer is a bit preposterous.

So, do what you want. I'm not going to stop you, nor do I want you to stop. You're going to think what you're going to think, and I'm going to think what I'm going to think, and if you're fine with that, so am I.

really directed towards Anz, since sure he can say what he wants, but it didn't help me in anyway. It came off like a "You're stupid, this is stupid you're useless" kind of thing. Or rather it did.

At least Nick Landes explained how hard this would be.

Erik started with the "mature" topic, I just said I didn't care cause its a forum.

So far I think I've been pretty respectful, with my posts (if not then please post to where I've been a dick). So I'll apologize if I some how lumped you into a "spazz" group. Since I didn't point out names until now :D

**disclaimer: I too think that this trick will NOT be hit for reasons other have taken the time to explain in this thread**

Quick raise of hands: Who, when they were "early tiltless", has never dreamt up ludicrous tricks and years later say "now WHAT was I thinking?" ???

I don't have any specifics but I'm sure I've come up with some pretty impossible tricks before.

On a personnal note: I really like this thread!

OK, time for my serious post.

1. Triaging trifly will never, ever, ever be hit. Ever. Just to be clear, by "never," I mean "ever never ever."

2. See point #1. For realz.

3. I've hit triage. Even if this could become a set (which is possible, but quite unlikely), I don't think anything more than 1 clean dex could be snuck in. Even a "the" double dex would be an achievement.

4. The only downtime three that's been hit off of a double dex set was flurry off of sailing (and even that hasn't been caught on video). There are only a few viable downtime triple dexes, and most of those are actually done midtime. Look at any blurriest swirl, etc, and you see that the paradon swirl component is NOT dont completely downtime. Assuming that a viable uptime triple dex set could be hit, it would have to be high enough to allow for a midtime, NOT downtime triple dex to follow.

5. To my knowledge, only Ales has hit triple barfly. There are probably a few others who could hit it, but in any case, this would never be a downtime triple dex. See point #4 to see why this is an issue.

6. It took years for nemesis to be hit, because in Sunil's words: "the trick is more than the sum of its parts." Same reasoning applies to "super nemesis." Even if somebody could consistently hit clean barraging triflies, or clean triaging barflies, that wouldn't mean that triaging trifly is possible.

7. No 5 dex tricks have been captured on video. Vasek supposedly was the first to hit one (sailing ss flurry), but without video, its not claimable.

8. Related to point #7, most people's first triple dex is smog, or pixie paradon, or blurriest, or fog. The reason for this, is that all of these are the easiest triple dexes. Similarly, most people have only hit "easy" quad dexes, like sailing ss dlo. The fact that nobody has hit any 5 dex tricks, probably means that once they do start getting hit, they will be the most theoretically easy ones, like sailing ss flurry. Once people start hitting HARD 5 dex tricks, then MAYBE there can be some discussion about EASY six dex tricks. Once those are hit, then its possible that we can discuss things like triaging trifly.

9. Common cold: I like that you think big. Imagination can be a valuable assset in footbag. Jorden thought big and got crazy good. But remember, footbag is 1% inspiration, and 99% perspiration (unless you are Nasty Nate or Eric Windsor, in which case it's something like 105% perspiration). If you want to shut up the doubters, the best way to do it is to go outside and start shredding your ass off, instead of wasting time on a footbag internet forum. I'm serious too. James Risden shut me up once he started putting out videos showing he had the skills to back up his talk, and Jorden did the same for a lot of people online. So keep on thinking big, but go out there and keep playing so you can start playing big too.

10. See point #1 again.

Thanks ken for the valuble input, but the same can be said about others who are trying to shut me up. I am merely trying to say to can be done, and others are pulling the "NU UH YOu suck and unless You're good like me you have no say period" point of view. If I came off like that, the I apologize. I more than likely became defensive over the idea of this trick and thus came off as a dick also.

Also thanks for bringing up the whole dex thing Ken, really opens up to what other questions people might be having.

Actually I really do not spend that much time on the forums, since I usually am footbagging, and I've improved a lot since last time at Santa cruz :) IN fact I'm footbagging in my room as we speak, type or something like that well I lied I'm typing and then going back to footbag. :D

Back to ken's idea. SOMEDAY there is going to be an easy 6 DEX!! I wish I was born later now  That would be cool no?

thanks for the input again!

Another thing I am going to bring up is what Dat said something about Sam saying "footbag will be unlocked through tripless and fearless strings" I agree 100%, and I agree partly that this one trick is a waste of time since its only 1 trick. It probably won't affect the footbag world for longer than a week. So David was right that this really isn't pushing the sport.

But on another note, this is something that I want to see hit without a doubt. Hey I can dream can't I?

Peace

Would have been more funny if Matt posted the attempt but as he set it the one who was filming like falls back and just catches matt sealing the trick with a catch :D Then with of course the quote "did you get it?"

Would have been riot
