There will be unicycling at the juggle fest. Last year they had unicycling workshops, comps and casual trials. I can't promise another competition this year, but several of our juggling club members are avid unicyclists, so bring your unicycle!

Had a good long shred yesterday in the Ramin room, which is where the event will be held. The floor is like a thin layer of astroturf. It grips well, cushions very well (but not too much), and feels like you're playing on the material that tracks are made of. I found it very easy on the feet, not slippery at all, and not overly squishy. Although I didn't attend CSS4, I have a feeling that its the same sort of material.

In short, the playing surface for the event is excellent.

Frat space is open to the first people to claim it. PM "Luis" on the modified forums to call dibs formally. If you want to find other lodging arrangements, check out the website for the juggling event, where other hotel info is posted. I think the frat should be the first option for all people who dont have families. The couches are good for a night of sleep.

ya, if you arnt too picky, i live in a house with lots of space, 6-10 couches, plenty of floor space, and anyone is welcome to stay,
if you'd like crash space, let me know, just so i can get a rough count

some suggestions just ahead of time, in case you do want to stay here

i dont know, how well the heating is in the house in general cause it has'nt been that cold, but like in the big living room and stuff i think it might not be that great so i'd definatly bring sleeping bags or blankets cause it'll probably be cold by november even up stairs

and along with places to sleep the house has lots of big spaces for shredding like if its cold/wet out, the inside is good for footbag

shower sandals, if you want to shower

and either friday or saturday night, the weekend of the tournament there will probably be a party at the house, but they dont plan that far in advance so they dont know what day,
its not a problem for people to stay there even if there is a party, i can just lock all of people's stuff in a room during the party and if you want to get to bed early i.e. not party, there should be rooms or something away from the party that people can sleep in

but otherwise anyone attending the tournament is welcome to the party

and i guess, my place isnt the closest too where stuff will be happening but if you drive down theres parking at my place and there should be some by the event location

so if your coming in groups, let me know group sizes/how many cars your bringing[/quote]

I'm down for this. Crash space for me, anywhere.

I would like to have a carpeted floor to sleep on, though, if that's not too much to ask. Unless you have a small mat and whatever. If there are any couches left and nobody needs one, I'm down for that too.

ok, so i received some pm questions about the space available at my house and im just posting here so incase anyone else was wondering,

food in ithaca, if you dont have a car is not a problem since most students dont have cars, the local places pretty much all have free delivery with no minimum order, but so far it seems like enough people are going to be staying at the frat that we could probably like place several orders, and all eat together or somthering

and so there are places walking distance to the event site in collegetown(view map at above url) with food like 10 min walk,

and i said in the earlier post that it is kind of far, really it isnt that far, i walk the distance 5-6 times a day to get to and from class and come home to eat lunch and dinner then go back out to classes/library its not bad, probably closer than any thing else, maybe 10-15 min walk, at most 20 if you take your time

ya, there are showers at the house, the only thing i suggest is to bring like shower sandals cause its not like the cleaniest in the world, but if you dont care, its up to you

and i know some people posted in the forum that they wanted to stay at the house, if you could pm just to like confirm, i am trying to keep a list, thanks, let me know if there are any other questions

I don't think I'm gonna go cuz I don't really want to go to tournaments until I'm guiltless. I feel that now that I'm not injured though, that may be somewhat soon. Probably not til the end of the year at least though. But have fun guys!

What the hell? that makes no sense! players of all levels will be there, play level should never hold anyone from coming to an event.

Also, events are a great place to get tips and help *to help you achieve your goal of guiltlessness*!!

Can't wait!! Got the weekend off from work, finally getting over my cold, my knee is all better, and the last couple sessions have gone great.
