This one's for Zeb Jackson

Post by Iron Clad Ben »

Well what the hell. I'm so pumped for our tournament this weekend I got a little goofy with footbag fever. As the story goes Zeb Jackson in his supreme awesomeness stitched us a couple SWEET bags for the Texas Statewide Tournament. I got them in the mail yesterday and they looked so rad I had to try one out. For some reason I attempted eggbeater which I had never tried before and nailed it on the 7th or 8th try.

So, I made this vid for Zeb. It's my first real edited video. Feel free to leave flames or praise as you see fit. Would like some feedback on the cleanliness of the eggbeater, not sure if I'm doing it right.

86 seconds.

Dude, congrats. If I remember correctly, youre starting with a flip illusion though, right? The move might be easier if your 1st dex was with the right leg instead of the left.

In any case, watching that video made me wonder: Have you ever watched any of my classic" older videos? Yours was produced in the *exact* style that mine were. Go and watch a few and youll see what I mean.
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

That's an awesome Video Ben. I love the fact that you changed shorts in mid video.

On Eggbeater:

Props! Yours is clean for sure. However, it's a little crispy. I think a lot of people hit it like that at first and then migrate towards an all downtime version, which is what you want to be your end product so you can eventually set into it. If you can do symple legovers, think about it like an Illusion into that instead... that really helped me.

Sweet video man, I'm a fan!

Make sure you do it both sides, just saying because in the video it was all the same side set...Funny, I was practising an eggbeater yesterday too...

Either way, good that you showed more than just "I woke up one day and decided to hit an eggbeater", by showing the mistakes leading up to it.

I think it looks like a leggy atomic op legover or "crispy eggbeater" as someone already mentioned. If you hit "leggy atomic ss legover", which I bet you could... then it's like hitting "crispy doubleswitch". Leggy atomic is new sexy.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I hit this like 5 more times on Saturday :)

@ Jeremy: One my favorite videos is your February '06 "In the Garage" video. I haven't seen anything older that looked like my vids. I will have to do a search and dig up some old good stuff

@ Rory / Josh: Yes, I guess you're right, it's slightly crispy. The first dex is definitely mid time, but I don't think it's leggy atomic, but I could be wrong. I will work on bringing the dexes together more and doing it fully down time.

It's really fun trick. Thanks for the comments everyone.
