A lot of people have made threads about what people like to shred to but i wanna know what songs that you know of that have good solid beats that are clearly present. can be from techno to rap...anything you got.

im not really sure what you mean as "solid". if you mean the same beat throughout the whole song then none of the above fit into that category. the ones above have a beat you can grove to but its not very predictable.

i would think that with any shred music there would be a beat.

nothing gets more solid than house, or any other 4 on the floor type of beat. 4 kick drums to every four beats. boom boom boom boom. pretty solid if ya ask me.

if you're looking for mixes, check out Ministry of Sound clubbers guide. each one is like 1:20min so a couple of those on disks will keep shredding.

The Faint is awesome to shred to!!!!!!!!!
Also I agree house has a really steady beat....I like lots of genres of techno but if you're going to kick to it than i would suggest house, schranz or hardtechno, hard trance! ^_^

House is, like, the ultimate shred beat; you can't NOT shred to house.

Certain music for me had different effects. I would listen to trip hop if I was planning to have a slow, styley session, or drum'n'bass or metal for a fast, big-combo/shuffle session, and anything in between... I also think that hip hop is really groovy; I love Swollen Members (seeing them in a month!!), though their last three albums kinda suck...... (Bad Dreams is soooo good).

House, though, has that beat that goes to your shred no matter what.

Rob Zombie has some excellent songs to kick to. "The Scorpion Sleeps", "Let It all Bleed Out", "Death Of It All", "American Witch", and all of his album called "America Made Music To Strip To". My personal favorite is "Let It All Bleed Out".
