K.I.C.K.A.S.S. video opening

Post by Muffinman »

Here is the intro to the video I'm making from KICKASS. I might change some stuff that I'm not happy with, so if anyone has any suggestions or crits that would be really helpful, and would maybe help me with the rest of the video. Thanks.

omg shredzilla BEST COMMENT EVERRRRRr

now i really cant wait for it to finish downloading

3 MORE MINUTES ARRRG

...

what if you had said MMORPG?! WHOA

Ok I watched it now. I liked the music, the editing/timing was good. Sailing eclipse? freeze by mr greenwood was AMAZING! and I liked how it was the first trick of the shred section. As far as suggestions. Your exposure was too low, and I noticed that you had it on auto. If you switch it to manual you can really get the most out of low light situations (depending on camera).Always work on your editing, no matter how good you are. But, you did a nice job. Ashley says AWESOME JOB!

omfg... so awsome. That was rediculously good. It ended and I'm like "...wat? oh god, no... WAAAAT!!!?" and after ripping out only a few tufts of my own hair, I realized that it was only the intro. :P silly me. CRAZY stoked to see the next part of the vid

Thanks so much guys :)
Someone said something about filming -- oh yeah, Sam and the lighting. I realized when I was capturing and selecting all of my footage that I should concentrate on actual filming, since lots of my shots are really wobbly and crap.

Asmus: I've got a bunch of Laroche footage. Marc put out a video a while ago with a bunch of him too, from KICKASS -- did you see his video?

Thanks a bunch everyone!!!
I don't know when I will be done; it took hoooouuurrsss and days and days just to sort through, watch, select clips, and capture 7.5 hours of footage, so I am taking a brief break to do some other things that I put aside to do this. The intro always takes the longest for me though, so...I don't know.

Erik,

Awesome intro/trailer/teaser, whatever you want to call it. I am so looking forward to the full project. I hope you consider making it DVD quality, and then selling it. Maybe have a low quality download for free and a high quality DVD for sale. You deserve to be rewarded financially for your talent, time, and efforts. I for one would be happy to compensate you.

I was very surprised and excited to see myself in the intro. I appreciate that a lot considering how many awesome players went to KICKASS 2. That event has inspired me to train much harder than ever before. I hope that the next time we meet I can give you some shred really worth recording.

Great work Erik. I am sure the final product will be incredible. Everytime I am reminded of KICKASS 2 I feel so fortunate to be part of a sport that has so many wonderful people in it.

Peace.
