camera trouble

ok...i have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC32...and my computer wont detect it when i plug it into my USB...usually when shit goes into that slot my comp makes a sweet noise. but it wont make that sweet noise for the camera. and i want to make sweet videos of the EFC. help please!

ok i figured it out...I need a program called Picture Package...i cant find it anywhere online...or i didnt look hard enough, but if anyone can find it...or has the cd that they maybe would be interested in mailing to me...please reply with details. it would be much apreciated. plus...you will get to see me willie and josh rip up the footbag

I've got that software (it came with my hc32 as well). You really don't need it to capture the video though.

I capture my footage straight from my editing program, such as adobe premiere, sony vegas, WMM. It's pretty simple to figure out with a little poking around. You don't need that "bundled" software that comes with the camera as it usually is crap.

Often the software will detect it on it's own.

As james said, even windows movie maker will do it and you surely have that on your computer.

I think your computer doesn't have the usb drivers capable of recognizing your camera. Joey Polish had the same problem.

So what I did was search for the drivers, went through a bunch of advertisements and found them. I then uploaded it for you at a free hosting site. Let me know if this works main.
