Jere Vainikka was able to do what I was not. I created freestyle reality in a messy absurd attempt to bridge the gap between shred video and movie, what did I make? I dunno, something forgotten. On flipsider.com Blitz describes BOTS as the first of a new type of movie, and I just think, but I did this first!! but then he says a well scripted, well produced, footbag film. My (let's call it) "video" was mostly unscripted, and made up, and sloppy, and ammature. So I am sad to see that I have failed, but I am happy to see that Jere Vainikka has succeeded, and I sincerely hope that I can learn something by watching this film. I really want it to be good. Based on C-fan and Blitz's reviews (both of which are highly intelligent people) I believe this will be an amazing experience. I plan to purchase the DVD when it's released. I guess this really IS the first footbag film of its kind and I hope that some day I can create something worthy. May you succeed Jere Vainikka.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

BOTS will be delayed a bit due to hardware problems. It's also the busiest time in Finland in the dvd industry because 80% of finnish movies are shot during summer. So dvd manufacturers have a lot of work right now.
I will inform as soon as the release date is certain.
Sorry for the delay

Shit! hasn't that been pioneered by another footbag film producer? Hang on! That was you, Sam! (DO NOT forget what you gave to the community!)QuantumBalance wrote:That close up following the bag is utterly right on! wow.
But, on another note... I live in Australia and sooooooo want this movie!!!
WHEN?
WHEN!?
Some latest info regarding BOTS.
The PAL (Europe) version is in dublication and the company promised it to be ready in two weeks. So start writing your letters to santa or even better, visit planetfootbag or Trio footbag online shop in three weeks (it takes a few days to mail the dvds to resellers) and purchase your own dvd.
NTSC (North America, Japan) version is also ready for dublication but I just need to double check the master disc on an NTSC dvd player. Because I don't have my own and don't know anyone who has one here in Finland, a friend is checking it for me in the States. This means that the NTSC disc will be available one week later than PAL.
If you watch the dvd only on your computer, then you can buy PAL eventhough your tv system is NTSC. If you know that your dvd player plays both NTSC and PAL then you can purchase either one.
Thanks for your patience, I'm quite sure it's worth it.

You can also get it from the Finnish Footbag Association website -> www.footbag.fi
FFA will be selling BOTS at the Finnish Footbag Champs on Dec. 8-10. So that's one more reason to come.

The DVD is finally available. Go to http://www.botsmovie.com to find your nearest footbag shop which is selling BOTS. If you have visited BOTS website recently and you see the old preloader page, please click the DVD info link after the preloader (or clear your temporary internet files folder and try again).
At the moment planetfootbag and ffa have BOTS in stock. NTSC version is on its way to USA (freedomfootbags) and should be there in two weeks. Japanese version is coming as soon as possible.
Merry christmas to you all

I was waiting to hear from Jere before I posted about this. Anyhow, he didn't have my address with him so they couldn't be mailed today... I don't know how exact the two week estimate is, but once they have been shipped we should have a better idea... Sorry for the wait.
Also, I've didn't realize that some people referred to us as FFA
... Freedom Footbags isn't really a formal association, but whatevers.
Peace.
