And would require mondo modding just to play half decent. The clipper spot looks brutal, and you'd have to somehow be able to make a cup with your toes for toe tricks? Tough.

The second one looks decent, actually. Hopefully it's not too heavy to play in and that the sole can take a load of pain.

Ive modded them, they are not that good, the inner material is not strong enough.

They don't totally suck, but they are not the answer we are looking for unfortunately.

This is what I've been using just to kick around. Broad and flat surfaces on the toe and instep. Absorbs shocks and breathes very well. Great traction on both grass and concrete.

Compared to my lavers, this is a much more comfortable shoe for all the stomping and jumping around that I do when I kick. After seeing what's possibe with Climas I think this shoe may have some potential for freestyle with little modification. The price tag will keep it from being a practical option for most players though.

Great for hacking and squares, could be good for net and shred IMHO.

The "sweet spot" isn't as good as the Lavers but it won't need the heavy mods that the Climas do. I'll try and put up pics of the instep when I get home so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

The best I can give you is a guess as I don't have a scale that will give you an accurate number; the Nikes are the same weight if not slightly lighter than my lavers. But running shoes are made to be light, right?

Most Nike shoes are relatively light, I've noticed.

You say they play well?

Are you going to mod them at all, because they look like pretty sweet all-around athletic shoes.
