Feedback from Anz' Trikz please!

Post by Anz »

It's been over half a year since I made Anz' Trikz trick tip video collection. The original thread is in Trick Tips, link here: http://www.modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=11019

Now I'd like to have feedback from the videos, so that if I or someone else is going to do more trick demo videos there would be info and tips availalbe and foundation to start doing them. Also I'm just plainly interested. In the actual thread I've got plenty of open comments, but I want to make a clear enquiry. Here are 10 questions, please answer attentively either by private message or directly by replying to this thread.

-------------------------------------

1. Did you know about Anz' Trikz videos before reading this thread?

2. Which collections have you watched? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)

3. Which collections have helped you in your own game? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)

4. What did you think about the filming angles? What about lighting?

5. Was the video quality good enough?

6. What did you think about the verbal tips?

7. Is there any video that you think was clearly the most informative?

8. Is there any video that you think was clearly the least informative?

9. Would you have bought these videos as a DVD? What do you think about them being available on the Internet?

10. How much would you give points from 1 to 10 (one = bad, ten = good) to Anz' Trikz trick tip videos?

-------------------------------------

1. Yes

2. All except novice.

3. All except novice.

4. Good.

5. Yes, except, sometimes when the slow-motion was happening and the verbal tips at the saem time, the video would skip, and I don;t think is just my computer.

6. Good, a bit skimpy though?

7. No.

8. No.

9. As is, I don't think I would buy these as a DVD. Maybe if many more moves and concepts were addressed and video quality improved a bit I would definitely consider it.

10. 8.5

1. Did you know about Anz' Trikz videos before reading this thread?

Yes

2. Which collections have you watched? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)

I think most... maybe not some of the novice stuff. Certainly everything except above novice.

3. Which collections have helped you in your own game? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)

Whirl and Stepping. Probably a couple of others too... I remember going through a few different ones more thoroughly. Probably double downs will help, when I get to them.

4. What did you think about the filming angles? What about lighting?

Lighting was a tad dark but not a big issue from memory. Filming angles were fine. You got front on as well as side views.

5. Was the video quality good enough?

Definately.

6. What did you think about the verbal tips?

Very helpful. Also the "WRONG WAY!" bits were quite helpful. Maybe a little more verbal tips on some of the tricks.

7. Is there any video that you think was clearly the most informative?

I'd have to watch them back again.

8. Is there any video that you think was clearly the least informative?

Same as above.

9. Would you have bought these videos as a DVD? What do you think about them being available on the Internet?

Yes, I would have bought them. I think having them available on the internet is much better though. It's more likely to help more people that way. It is of course your own work, so you are free to do what you please with it.

10. How much would you give points from 1 to 10 (one = bad, ten = good) to Anz' Trikz trick tip videos?

-3? ;)

I reckon an 8. I thought they were great. You got multiple angles on each trick, had verbal advice and even showed common incorrect ways the trick is done. And you did so many too. Big props.

1. Yes
2. I've watched the vids from all of the collections
3. Novice, Dexless, Prefix
4. I thought filming and lighting were perfectly fine. The angle was great, you could see your legs and the bag perfectly.
5. Video quality was fine
6. Verbal tips were good and informative, some spelling/grammar errors occured, may want to fix before releasing a dvd
7. Stepping vid was probably most informative for me
8. Not really
9. I would've bought these on DVD, especially as a new player. Internet's great too.
10. Somewhere between 9 and 10 points.

If you did come out with a DVD, I would include some bonus footage of shred, and maybe some insane 'bonus tricks' that weren't in the vids. Trick Tips are awesome Anz, thanks again!

1. Did you know about Anz' Trikz videos before reading this thread? Yes

2. Which collections have you watched? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix) Every one

3. Which collections have helped you in your own game? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix) Damn near everything

4. What did you think about the filming angles? What about lighting? Angles were good, you could see the bag so lighting was good I guess..

5. Was the video quality good enough? Again, you could see the bag..

6. What did you think about the verbal tips? Sometimes they pointed out something I didn't realize, but mostly just redundant...Good touch though,

7. Is there any video that you think was clearly the most informative? No.

8. Is there any video that you think was clearly the least informative? No.

9. Would you have bought these videos as a DVD? What do you think about them being available on the Internet? I have no idea how possible this is, but if you could get this collection on Freedom footbags, or something and have it offered like the flyer they give out, I think it'd be excellent/

10. How much would you give points from 1 to 10 (one = bad, ten = good) to Anz' Trikz trick tip videos? 9...

1. Did you know about Anz' Trikz videos before reading this thread?
Yep.
2. Which collections have you watched? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)
I've watched at least one from each "collection"
3. Which collections have helped you in your own game? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)
I don't really know what specific collections, but I'd bet novice because that's where I am.
4. What did you think about the filming angles? What about lighting?
Filming angles and lighting were about perfect.
5. Was the video quality good enough?
It was fine, not perfect, but you know.
6. What did you think about the verbal tips?
They helped me a lot, especially with whirls.
7. Is there any video that you think was clearly the most informative?
Stepping and whirls
8. Is there any video that you think was clearly the least informative?
No, not really
9. Would you have bought these videos as a DVD? What do you think about them being available on the Internet?
No, I don't think I would have. I don't see the point in buying footbag DVDs when they're available online. Them being available for free is awesome.
10. How much would you give points from 1 to 10 (one = bad, ten = good) to Anz' Trikz trick tip videos?
9 babayyy.

1. Did you know about Anz' Trikz videos before reading this thread?
yes

2. Which collections have you watched? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)
all

3. Which collections have helped you in your own game? (Novice, Pro, Dexless, Prefix)

mirage, legover, whirls

4. What did you think about the filming angles? What about lighting?

all in all it was ok. but id like to have seen more various angles (with close-up, from above, 45 degree...) light was ok. i didnt like the head-cut-off shots, its also important to see where and when the shredder looks at.

5. Was the video quality good enough?
couldve been better, cuz it was unsharp when pausing

6. What did you think about the verbal tips?
good thing, they help

7. Is there any video that you think was clearly the most informative?
they were all

8. Is there any video that you think was clearly the least informative?
not really

9. Would you have bought these videos as a DVD? What do you think about them being available on the Internet?
well i have burnt them on dvd. its a good thing to have em free on the web. if you could make a more professional set (studio maybe) with a better cam and more featured players i would buy it. especially if its more focused on pro tricks, cuz i already own one for beginner/intermediate shred.

10. How much would you give points from 1 to 10 (one = bad, ten = good) to Anz' Trikz trick tip videos?

8, +1 cuz it was free=9
