Yep.

so i havent really blogged in a while, mostly because ive been feeling crappy about footbag. but things are looking better. it was mostly just an attitude problem.

so ive been playing pretty frequently, at least once a day, for at least and hour except on the weekends where i rest, and i fell like i havent gotten better in a while. when i drilled i felt like it wasnt helping and when i didnt drill i was annoyed at myself for not working, which is a pretty warped mentality. but everyday i still have that want to kick that i can't explain, although i am thankful for it because without it i dont know where id be right now. so iv just decided to screw working on progression right now and just let it happen by itself. i just kicked for the sake of kicking.

lots of consecutive kicks. long strong tiltless runs. one of the coolest looking swirls ever(i suck at swirls). i didnt throw too many tough tricks in there. a ripwalk here a spin there.

i felt good coming out of this session even though i didnt have a huge list a shit that i hit. from now on if the work isn't working im gonna tone it down a notch because if the work on the tough stuff isn't working it porbably means you should work on the easier stuff. it all builds on itself.

i never really worried about guiltless before until maybe a month ago and i dont really know why. i dont really care anymore though. i read somewhere that it took jorden a while to go guiltless and look where he is now.

had a really good but really short session today

ps whirl 3rd try(first time)
toe blur 2nd try(first time)
footed mullet and whirlygig
gyro and spinning were ON
some pretty phat strings

didnt spend too much time on the ps whirl stuff because i really dont want to screw up my knee.

anyway it only lasted like a half hour cause i had places to go and people to see. more tomorrow.

spin pdx mirage bsos
run w/ gyro mirage bsos and duck pdx mirage bsos
some ok strings
working drifters dlos and dynos still

im thinking of switching to g units because my legs have been hurting a lot from footbag lately. if you didn't know im a pretty big boy, about 6'2 ish and 175lbs. since iv heard g units provide good support it makes sense to switch. i just gotta get a hold of a new pair. the ones i have are too big and i cut the walls off of them because they ripped. gotta save up

What's been hurting... shins?

I played through mine and they strengthened up, helped by proper stretching and exercises to strengthen my shin muscles, whatever they're called.

Sitting on a chair, heels on the ground. Raise and lower your toes over and over, you'll soon feel it. At first it feels stupid and useless but soon you feel it's really working :) I'm 6ft/6ft 1ish and have no pain now in lavers. about 70 kilos whatever that is in pounds.

Props on the new stuff too. spinning pdx mirage bsos is phat.

had a pretty good shred today. the best part was that it was nice and long.

blurry drifter(new)
blurry whirl bsos
made some progress on blender
rev swirl bsos
blurry whirl> blurriest(first fearless link)
ducking osis bsos
my strong swirl is looking good but not so much on flip
pdx drifter bsos
zooming osis midstring

i think im going guiltless but not really intentionally. its happening more naturally. i like it better this way than forcing myself. seems a lot less stressful.

You will regret switching to units. Im trying to go back to lavers now and its hard not to just take the easy unit way out. Idk, you can do what you want.

You are getting shin splints because you play a lot. Thats all there is to it. Your body will adapt.

so today was a pretty long day. some good some bad.

first with the good. woke up around 12 and called dave to shred so he came over and we had a session in my basement. i did good i just dont remember any of it except for some long strings. dave did awesome. its so good to kick with someone finally. it helps to have someone pushing you when your sometimes too lazy to push yourself. played for a while.

now the bad. we finished at about 3:20. i had to be at work by 3:30. so i took like a 2 minute shower, shoved a sandwhich down my throat, put the work clothes on, and drove to work. i got the at about 3:45 so it wasnt a really big deal. the worse part is that i played kinda hard and i had no time to sit down and rest before work so my legs were killing me for 4 hours. i couldnt move because im a cachier and its the day before thanksgiving so it was quite busy.

now im home resting eating and about to head off to bed. i got work a 7:00 am tomorrow morning, get out at 11:30 then in the car for 2 and a half hours crammed between my brothers. then lots of food and good ol family fun. hopefully tomorrow will be pretty good.

lifes been pretty hectic lately for all the wrong reasons. my brothers pretty sick. he had major surgery yesterday and hes going back in tomorrow morning. him, my dad and my mom are in philadelphia, my other brother and sister are at my grandparents, and im home taking care of stuff. its been really tough to kick lately and i hadnt played since wednesday but i managed to squeeze a shred in today. mostly single tricks, didnt have to many good strings.

blurry drifter first try
ps whirl second try
blurrier first try(new) footed it flip
twirl bsos
rev swirl bsos
flail(new)
footed vortex a couple times
almost hit parkwalk>ripwalk>shmoe rpt

thats about it i guess. hopefully next time i post ill have some good news.
pray for him for me.
