@Janis: Enter pinchbeater, that trick was DOPE! Or pincher spinning pincher.
Guys, when in doubt enter SOMETHING.
So what if your game isn't where you'd like it to be? Anyone who plays footbag even sporadically will hit a few new tricks in 3 months time.
These comps can be SUCH good publicity for footbag if we publish them. It shows.
PARTICIPATE!
Remember, the main person you are competing against is yourself.
Even if you're a total n00b and the only trick you can hit is something like ATW or pendulum, SUBMIT IT! Don't be scared.
Woohoo! Go comps!

Ben is right, heaps of the players found out about footbag or got into it seriously because of the online competitions, they are a great avenue for new players entering the sport.
It's also true that you're only competing against yourself, if you have entered a previous competition then atleast you have something you have done previously to do better than next time. One thing I love doing is looking back through my past entrys and seeing how i've improved.

yeah I agree with you. My first vid was an ATW. Heck I did it in socks and got blasted for it. Back then that was my ONLY trick I could hit, and yesterday I hit ducking mirage twice!! So it goes to show...enter, it can take your game to higher levels (see the topic: "How much does the online comps mean to you" and see testimonials on what online comps have done for peeps).

gl on your vid ben...
I have to "refilm" mine. One of my dexes on my sick 3 isn't clean and I don't want to put that one in unless I hit it smooth, thanks Anz...your crazy AnzTrickz vids made me a perfectionist (to a degree, anywayz) lol!! Just kidding Anz..you rock! Speaking of Anz I can't wait to see what he puts in this go around, that your mama from last time was, to me, the best trick of that whole vid! Plus my wife (sammiebagger) has a cool and smooth trick to send in too! I think I'll teach my camera a new sick 3 tonight. we'll see....GL all!!

AHHHHH!!! I can't get my feet to hit my combo on video and it's the 29th! AHHHHH!!! I hope i can get it tonight. Sorry nic, I don't mean to wait till the last day, but I've really been trying hard to hit something nice for last couple of days...well really hard since friday. But all my "hard" tricks won't pull out for me in a sick 3. I guess I'll have to hit 3 tricks I'm more comfortable with. but I really really want to put in a 4 add to my sick 3. Might have to wait till the 1st q comps to hit my 4 adds. So newayz, I'm thinking a 3-2-3 might be in order. we'll see tonight!!!

Yeah I understand what you mean matt, your probably more advanced than me but I have the same type of problem. I definitely want at least 2 3 adds in my sick 3 but I don't seem to be able to link them on vid, even if I have already hit it. I can do a few 4 adds, but they're definitely not good enough to link it with something else than a simple stall or an hand catch. Anyway, that was just a little break, going to continue trying putting it on vid ! See ya later.
yeah thats my problem too, like I have hit dimwalk before, but the only from clipper moves I can do are clipper mirage and far legover, so "IF" i hit the dimwalk I have to get the set correct from the clipper to play off it. After that second trick i'm good to go, it's getting there that's the problem.
To help combat this issue, I wrote down EVERY sick 3 I know I "could" do. Just linking componts I've hit before. That way, tonight when I get home I can look to my "cheat sheet" to give me ideas. If I think a certain combo feels better I can look to my sheet and see other tricks on the list and maybe hit the other combo easier. exp: atw>atw>atw if I think thats to hard (which it's not BTW) then my cheat sheet could say try atw>atw>mirage, and maybe that's easier for me to hit. Plus then I won't forget componts to try and use. hope this works for me...maybe you too.
