There's certain things I object to like the backwards views I feel some people have on the issue of equality. It's not making things better. I only feel like it's making things worse. The sly, indirect dictatorship and segregation isn't helping. My two cents. People please reflect and think for yourselves.

Tom and I went to Hot Yoga yesterday. It was such an intense experience, but it felt so good. The room was heated and we were drenched at the end of the 90min class. I had to lie down a few times when I thought I was going to pass out, but it's supposed to be normal until your body gets used to this sensation. Next time I'm not going to go high and hydrate lots beforehand.
Tom and I have concluded we'd like to use less weed and do more yoga. Definitely something I need in my life. All day yesterday I was complaining about how sore my body was from footbag and then after the yoga session, I felt so much better. Some of the poses require so much leg and core strength. I don't have these yet, but I want to get stronger, especially my back. I think it will be a good enhancement to footbag.

I've been reading and writing on modified less and less. It just seems so disingenuine and the more I look at modified, the more I see the facades people are hiding behind because it is the internet. There's all this drama, politics, and dictatorship here that isn't necessary. Misinterpretation is so common and people don't see the full issue. I also feel some are using their influence not for the good of the forum and their goals are misguided.
Real footbag isn't here. Kickass 2 just reinforced this notion for me. I had such a great time hanging out and playing with those who attended Kickass 2. I've never been more motivated to play and improve. I hope to see many of you at Cornell.
More footbag. Less dramafied.
Enjoy yourselves. Discuss. Don't believe that modified is the all that ends all.

Hot Yoga is the bomb. I'm not so sure that yoga is very helpful for footbag, though.
I feel you on the apathy towards modified. I was about to quit this place, but then talked to someone who helped me realize that if I left or stopped posting then the balance would shift even more to the negative. You're one of the levelheaded and articulate people on this forum. If you leave, then the handful becomes even smaller. Just some food for thought.
You and Tom should come to SJFF.

I got flamed out of here for saying pretty much the exact same thing after CSS 2004. It's still true. Who cares though - making fun of it to its face is that much more fun.

Don't worry, I'm not gone for good.
Modified is still a great place to get information and things out there to the spread out community. I wonder why .org and modified don't just merge so there is one centralized resource and not an empty forum that's the top of a search engine and a bustling one that isn't. If the IFPA is supposed to represent the footbag community, shouldn't the footbag community be present on the IFPA website?
What's preventing this from happening?

As far as I'm aware it would mean moving us to .org, which would mean Modified being run completely differently: the way .org is run. A lot of people don't like that idea. Steve is not in favor of non-footbag topics on a footbag forum, and there is no edit button anywhere on .org which isn't that big of a deal, but it is a sign of the way things run over. I think it's good that both forums exist because they seem to exist for different reasons.

But like.. whatever forum we are at should be run the way we want it.
If Steve wants what is best for footbag (merging is good for footbag) then he should accept that people want the forum run differently.
I bet there are hundreds of people that have found footbag, checked the .org forum and then left for good because .org makes it look like nobody plays.
Two forums are redundant and they are holding the sport back. period!

I enjoy the online community, but the feeling of meeting other freestylers who totally enjoy footbag just like you do is simply amazing. There's no other feeling like that. It's that culmination of love and respect that you can only find in person, not in an online community.
Of course, the use of an online community is to keep in touch with people beyond your physical reach. Also, the resources provided are extremely useful as well. I'm for these two aspects to join together in a united force, but whether the rest of the community wants to go through any drastic changes is an unfinished discussion still lurking around modified. I bet Steve feels the same way.
I'm all for community. I don't really care if there any changes in a merge.

Instead of taking her blog over, if you still want to talk about this (which I support doing) feel free to start a new thread.

Tom's gone home for the weekend and it's boring and lonely here, especially since our other housemate, Joel is at work all day. I keep hearing weird noises from the back room... harmonica and stuff. It's weird and kind of creepy.
I've got a shitty cold too and it's all in my lungs and phlegmy. YUCK! I didn't sleep well last night. I stayed up all night doing homework. School is swamping me lately. I think it's a good reason to take a break from stitching 32's. That and I have a hurt wrist that's sore and shitty from when I hurt it during Kickass. I'm not going to stitch for awhile. Don't place any more orders to me. Go to Tom, or all the other stitchers out there. I won't be stitching for awhile. Cuddlebags are the only things that will be available from me for awhile.
Kingstonfootbag's for sale page will be revamped as soon as I have time. The system needs to change.
PS. phlegm is a fun word to spell I just noticed.

I wrote a big long post just now but decided to delete it. Not everything needed to be said for everyone to read.
To sum it all up:
Tom + Peng 1 yr anniversary. Love. Learn. Grow together.
Copycats. I'm still better.
Some lady drove over Tom's bike this morning. Disgruntled.
The monotany of school is starting to really wear away at my sanity. Missing time to myself. Time without responsibilities.

I know I am not always good and I deserve some things I get. However lately, I don't know what I do to incur the wrath I'm receiving. Apparently I'm still a fucking despicable person, even when I try to be good.
Footbag also sucks lately. I need better-fitting shoes. I've settled for a size too big for too long. I've already established that Lavers and climacools don't come in my size. I don't want g-units unless they are mesh, which also doesn't exist in my size. No big-assed inside pocket for me thanks. I need to employ the whole footbag community in search of shoes in kids' US3, UK2.5, EU35. They don't have to be your standard lavers, climas, goonits. Just something that would work and is moddable in my size.
Someone pull some strings for me.

Strength training has really made footbag less and less painful and more and more enjoyable. I'm not quite as puny a little weakling anymore. I've not gained nor lost any weight, but my whole body feels more efficient and strong.
I was really down about footbag. One, because of lack of time due to school and also because my shoes just don't fit me right. After every session, I felt crappy for several days in a row because my body was in pain. It hurt my back, my knee, my legs, and my butt. Since I've been working out, the past few times I've played footbag, I've not felt pain the next day. I've been learning about athletic training and functional exercising, so I've built a little regimen for myself specifically to enhance my body's ability to play footbag. I still suck, but I'll try harder now that my body doesn't ache for days afterwards.
Footbag seems a little less bleak. I still need shoes though, but at least there's been a little bit of hope in finding some that fit proper.
I need to get rid of my red plaid lavers. They are just too big to wear comfortably. I didn't know about Adidas sizing differently than normal conversions when I bought them. I don't know anyone who's got feet my size though... anyone want a pair of little red plaid lavers?
